Indians' Adam Wilk: Reassigned to minors
The Indians reassigned Wilk to their minor-league camp Monday, Matt Kelly of MLB.com reports.
Wilk's slim hopes of making the Tribe's Opening Day roster were dashed after he yielded three runs on two hits and three walks in two innings during a pair of Cactus League assignments. Assuming Wilk is willing to accept the minor-league assignment, he'll likely open the season at Triple-A Columbus, working as back-end rotation filler or in long relief.

Indians' Adam Wilk: Agrees to terms with Cleveland
Wilk signed a minor-league contract with the Indians on Saturday which includes an invitation to spring training, Bob Nightengale of USA Today Sports reports.
Wilk appeared in four big-league games between the Twins and Mets in 2017, allowing 14 runs off 24 hits and nine walks over 14 innings. He was mediocre at the Triple-A level as well and will have a tough time finding a spot within the Indians' staff this spring. The southpaw will earn $560,000 if he makes the major-league roster and holds the right to opt out of this deal if he isn't with Cleveland on Opening Day.

Adam Wilk: Hits free agency
Wilk was released Thursday by the Twins.
The 29-year-old was designated for assignment last week after a spot start in which he was shelled for six runs over 3.1 innings, and will look to land a minor-league deal elsewhere. Wilk has a 9.00 ERA and 2.36 WHIP in 14 innings across his stints with the Mets and Twins this season.

Twins' Adam Wilk: Designated for assignment after poor performance
Wilk was shelled in his spot start Saturday against the Indians, allowing six earned runs through 3.1 innings to take the loss. He allowed eight hits and three walks while striking out two batters and was designated for assignment after the game.
The Indians got to Wilk early, scratching three runs across in the first inning, and then continued the onslaught into the fourth inning. Now that he's been designated for assignment, Wilk will be subject to waivers, but could return to the Twins despite no longer having a spot on the 40-man roster.

Wilk will be added to the active roster in order to fill in for Hector Santiago (shoulder) on Saturday. With this assignment, the 29-year-old southpaw will face off with Cleveland's Ryan Merritt in the matinee, while Adalberto Mejia and Mike Clevinger will duel in the nightcap.

Twins' Adam Wilk: Tabbed for Saturday start
Wilk will be recalled in order to start one of the games in Saturday's doubleheader with the Indians, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
The original hope was that Hector Santiago (shoulder) would be available to pitch one of Saturday's contest, but it appears that the Twins will let him rest a bit more and instead rely on Wilk to make a return trip to the bigs. Wilk has been serviceable in his past two starts with Triple-A Rochester and holds a 3.86 ERA in two relief appearance for Minnesota earlier in the season. Depending on which game he pitches in, the 29-year-old southpaw will either face Mike Clevinger or Ryan Merritt.

Twins' Adam Wilk: Won't start Saturday
Wilk is no longer being considered to start Saturday's game against the Indians, Mike Berardino of the Pioneer Press reports.
The Twins claimed Wilk off waivers Wednesday, and it had been thought that he was a favorite to start Saturday's game against Cleveland. However, Wilk's single outing this season didn't inspire much confidence in the southpaw. In said start, Wilk allowed five runs over 3.2 innings and gave up three home runs. With him out of the running, the Twins are considering Nick Tepesch, Adalberto Mejia, and Jose Berrios as potential starters for Saturday's game.

Twins' Adam Wilk: Claimed off waivers, expected to start Saturday
Wilk was claimed off waivers by the Twins on Wednesday, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.
The Twins haven't officially announced their intentions for Wilk, but Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press speculates that the 29-year-old will step into the rotation to start Saturday against the Indians after Kyle Gibson was demoted to Triple-A Rochester last week. With Jose Berrios dominating at Rochester to the tune of a 1.13 ERA and 39 strikeouts over 39.2 innings, Wilk may not have a long leash if he's indeed plugged into the rotation. The Mets designated Wilk for assignment following his May 7 spot start against the Marlins, during which he was lit up for five runs on eight hits and a walk over 3.2 innings.

Mets' Adam Wilk: Designated for assignment
Wilk was designated for assignment Monday, MLB.com's Anthony DiComo reports.
The Mets needed to clear a spot on their 25- and 40-man roster for Tommy Milone, and Wilk was the victim. The left-hander didn't really give New York much of a reason to keep him around, as he was rocked during his spot start Sunday against the Marlins, allowing six runs over 3.2 innings.

Mets' Adam Wilk: Rocked in spot start Sunday
Wilk (0-1) allowed six runs on eight hits and one walk across 3.2 innings in Sunday's loss to the Marlins. He struck out two.
Wilk, who had his contract purchased from Triple-A Las Vegas prior to Sunday's spot start, looked overmatched in his first big-league action of the season. The first five runs on his ledger came via the home run, and the sixth occurred on a wild pitch before his removal with two outs in the fourth inning. Wilk seemed like a probable candidate to return to the minors following this outing, and the poor result seemingly only solidified the likelihood of the move.

Mets' Adam Wilk: Gets spring training invite from Mets
Wilk signed a minor league contract with the Mets on Thursday that includes an invite to spring training.
The lefty made 15 starts for the Rays' Triple-A Durham affiliate in 2016, posting a 3.61 ERA and 1.12 WHIP in 87.1 innings. His walk rate returned to an elite level (1.3 BB/9) after hovering near 2.6 BB/9 at Triple-A over the previous two seasons. Wilk's strikeout rate also ticked up and he held same-handed hitters to a .167 batting average. He will likely compete for a role as a specialist in the bullpen.
