Donovan Hand: Deal not in place
Hand and the Tigers did not agree to a minor-league deal Friday, Evan Drellich of NBC Sports Boston reports.
Drellich mistakenly reported earlier Friday the two sides had reached a deal pending medicals, but Hand officially remains a free agent although the deal was reportedly in progress. The 31-year-old could still end up signing with Detroit but at this point he is still free to sign elsewhere.

Donovan Hand: Signs with Tigers
Hand agreed to a minor-league contract with Detroit on Friday, Evan Drellich of NBC Sports Boston reports.
Hand spent a majority of last season at the Triple-A level and has only appeared in 32 major-league games, with 31 of them coming in 2013 for the Brewers. He is set to serve as organizational depth for Detroit during this upcoming campaign, and will likely begin the year at Triple-A Toledo.

Mets' Donovan Hand: Inks minor league deal with Mets
Hand signed a minor league contract with the Mets on Wednesday, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.
Hand hasn't pitched in the majors since 2015, when he logged just three innings for the Reds. He was sent straight to minors camp, where he will serve as organizational depth for the Mets in 2017.
