Jed Bradley: Calls it quits
Bradley has decided to retire from baseball Thursday, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports.
Bradley, a 2011 first-round draft pick, was working at Double-A Bowie this season before he decided to call it quits. The 26-year-old made a brief appearance in the majors last season with the Braves, though he struggled to a 5.14 ERA across six games (seven innings). He owns a combined 4.47 ERA and 1.50 WHIP across seven minor-league seasons (511.1 innings) with the Brewers, Braves and Orioles.

Orioles' Jed Bradley: Reassigned to minor league camp
Bradley was reassigned to minor league camp on Wednesday, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
He was competing for one of the final spots in the Orioles' bullpen, but it didn't take long for him to be sent packing. Bradley moved between Double-A, Triple-A and the majors last season with the Braves and Brewers, and should spend a good chunk of 2017 at Triple-A for the Orioles.

Orioles' Jed Bradley: In race for Opening Day bullpen spot
Bradley will compete for a left-handed specialist role on the team's Opening Day roster, Britt Ghiroli of MLB.com reports.
Manager Buck Showalter said Wednesday that the team could break camp with three southpaw relievers, and the current options include Bradley, T.J. McFarland and Donnie Hart. The Brewers' first-round pick in the 2011 Draft is probably the underdog in the position battle, but Bradley will be motivated by the prospect of making his first Opening Day roster. He owns a 4.34 ERA over five minor league seasons, and as a left-handed specialist, could be in line to pick up a handful of holds if he breaks camp with the O's.

Orioles' Jed Bradley: Invited to big league camp
Bradley received an invitation to major league spring training Tuesday.
Baltimore claimed the former first-round draft pick back in October, and it seems like they want to see how he holds up against major leaguers even after outrighting him prior to the Rule 5 draft. Bradley's performance across five minor league seasons has been average at best, although his experience as both a starter and a reliever could help him garner some attention from the big league club over the spring if he performs well.

He was claimed off waivers a month ago, but the Orioles have decided to clear his spot on the 40-man roster in advance of the Rule 5 Draft and free agency.

Orioles' Jed Bradley: Claimed off waivers by Orioles
Bradley was claimed off waivers by the Orioles on Friday.
Bradley was a first-round draft pick back in 2012, but his results in the minor leagues over the years have been average at best. That being said, the left-hander is only 26 years old and pitched well as a starter between Double-A and Triple-A this past season, so the Orioles decided to take a flier on him. He has experience both as a starter and as a reliever, so he could fill a variety of roles at the upper levels of the Orioles system next season. To make room for him on the 40-man roster, Paul Janish was designated for assignment.

Braves' Jed Bradley: To be used as reliever with Braves
Bradley will be used from the bullpen with Atlanta, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Bradley has played in three games with Triple-A Gwinnett, all of which were starts. He's done well in said outings, as he posted a 1.50 ERA and 1.39 WHIP across 18 innings. However, before arriving at Gwinnett, Bradley had played 32 games between Double-A Biloxi and Double-A Mississippi with only 10 being starts.

Braves' Jed Bradley: Recalled from Triple-A
Bradley was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
With rosters expanding, Bradley will join the Braves for the first time in 2016 after splitting the minor league season between Double and Triple-A. Bradley holds a cumulative 3.09 ERA across 35 appearances (13 starts) to go with a 1.36 WHIP.

Bradley was traded to the Braves on Friday in exchange for a player to be named later or cash.
Bradley experienced only stretches of success with the Brewers after being taken by the club in the first round of the 2011 draft, so the team decided to give him a fresh start and send him to the team that plays its home games in the same state Bradley attended college. Bradley worked as a reliever the last two seasons after beginning his career as a starter, but it remains to be seen what role he will be used in for his new squad.
