Mets' Cory Burns: Lands with Mets on minor league deal
Burns signed a minor league contract with the Mets on Thursday, Marc Carig of Newsday reports.
Burns has some major league experience to his name and even sported a 3.18 ERA in 10 appearances out of the Rangers bullpen. However, his control was shaky at best during his time in the majors, which could limit his ability to advance to the major leagues any time soon, especially given the fact he wasn't offered an invitation to spring training.
