J.R. Graham: Cut loose by New York
Graham was released by the Yankees on Monday, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.
The 2011 fourth-round draft pick attempted to revive his professional career in the Yankees organization last season to no avail. Graham could only muster a 6.64 ERA and a 2.14 WHIP in 20.1 innings pitched at Triple-A last season. Given this rough stat line, it doesn't seem like he'll be anything more than an organizational depth piece if he manages to find a new organization to call home.

Yankees' J.R. Graham: Outrighted to Triple-A
Graham was outrighted to Triple-A on Monday.
Graham began the season in Minnesota before coming to New York via trade in mid-May. The 26-year-old spent the remainder of the season at the Double and Triple-A levels, with the bulk of his work coming at Double-A Trenton. Monday's move simply removes Graham from the 40-man roster.

Yankees' J.R. Graham: Traded to Yankees
Graham was traded to the Yankees on Saturday for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
Once a noteworthy prospect in the Braves organization, Graham struggled largely as a member of the Twins organization over the past two seasons, and the Yankees will see if they can salvage his professional career. He has made just one start since 2014, and will likely be developed as a reliever by the Yankees. Graham will be optioned to Double-A Trenton.

Twins' J.R. Graham: Designated for assignment Friday
Graham was designated for assignment Friday, LaVelle Neal of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
The Twins brought Darin Mastroianni and Juan Centeno up from Triple-A, so two spots on the 40-man roster needed to be cleared for them. Graham was not good in his lone appearance out of the Twins bullpen, giving up two runs on three hits and a walk in 1.2 innings of work, which made him more expendable to the organization. He'll head back to the minors and act as organizational pitching depth going forward.

Twins' J.R. Graham: To be recalled
Graham will be recalled by the Twins, LaVelle E. Neal of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Graham hasn't been particularly impressive at Rochester this season, allowing 10 runs in just 8.1 innings. He will add an extra arm to the Twins' bullpen but his stay isn't expected to last beyond Ervin Santana's (back) activation from the disabled list, which could come as soon as Saturday.

Graham was optioned to Triple-A Rochester.
Graham spent all last season with the Twins as a Rule 5 pick, so the Twins may want him to get some time at Triple-A this year. Despite a 4.95 ERA last seasson, Graham showed some promise with a 7.5 K/9 and 94.7 mph average fastball. He should be called up at some point this summer.

Twins' J.R. Graham: Weight loss doesn't hurt fastball
Graham lost around 30 pounds during the offseason but it hasn't impacted his velocity as he topped out at 96 mph on fastballs in Wednesday's spring outing, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. "He's still got his velocity," Molitor said. "We were wondering how the ball was going come out of his hand this spring after his, transformation, if you will. Things have been fairly clean so far."
Despite a 4.95 ERA last seasson, Graham showed some promise with a 7.5 K/9 and 94.7 mph average fastball. He looks set to be part of Minnesota's bullpen again.
