Rangers' Bobby LaFromboise: Latches on with Rangers on MiLB deal
LaFromboise agreed to a minor league contract with the Rangers on Monday, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
The left-hander spent the early portion of 2016 in the Phillies organization, but he was released in early June after posting a 5.94 ERA out of the bullpen for Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Although the Rangers are a bit thin in the left-handed pitching department, LaFromboise will likely spend 2017 in an organizational depth role after not receiving an invitation to major league spring training.

Phillies' Bobby LaFromboise: Sent to minor league camp
The Phillies sent LaFromboise to minor league camp on Monday, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia reports.

Phillies' Bobby LaFromboise: Outrighted to Triple-A, will attend spring training
LaFromboise was outrighted to Triple-A Lehigh Valley and will attend spring training as a non-roster invitee, Ryan Lawrence of The Philly Voice reports.
The odds of LaFromboise seeing action in the early stages of the season are virtually zero, but attending spring training will at least allow the Phillies to get a closer look at him. The 29-year-old will likely hang around Florida for a few weeks, then land in Lehigh Valley and wait for the Phillies to need bullpen depth.

Phillies' Bobby LaFromboise: Designated for assignment Wednesday
LaFromboise was designated for assignment Wednesday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
The left-hander was claimed off waivers from the Angels on January 29, but he'll already be sent off the 40-man roster in order to make room for the recently-acquired Taylor Featherston. He pitched well with the Pirates last season, posting a 1.13 ERA in 11 appearances. Unfortunately for the 29-year-old, it seems he'll either have to spend another season primarily in the minors or wait to be claimed off waivers by a team who needs another southpaw in the bullpen.

Phillies' Bobby LaFromboise: Claimed by the Phillies
LaFromboise was claimed off waivers by the Phillies on Friday.
The 29-year-old southpaw has now been designated for assignment and subsequently claimed twice this offseason, keeping him on a 40-man roster somewhere. LaFromboise now falls into a situation where he'll have a significant chance at cracking the Opening Day roster for a Phillies club lacking in bullpen depth, but that should sort itself out during spring training.
