Orioles' Eddie Gamboa: Reassigned to minor-league camp
Gamboa was moved to minor-league camp Sunday, Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports.
Gamboa pitched just one inning of Grapefruit League ball this spring. In said game, he allowed two runs on one hit and three walks. The 33-year-old doesn't figure to carry much fantasy value this season and will likely open the year at Triple-A Norfolk.

Orioles' Eddie Gamboa: Will attend big-league camp
Gamboa has been invited to attend the Orioles' spring training as a non-roster invitee.
While Gamboa will attend major-league camp, it's unlikely that he'll open the upcoming season in the big club's bullpen. During the 2017 campaign he pitched at the Triple-A level for both the Dodgers and Rangers, posting an ERA of at least 5.40 with each organization.

Orioles' Eddie Gamboa: Signs deal with Orioles
Gamboa agreed to a minor-league contract with Baltimore on Friday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Gamboa spent a majority of the 2017 season in Triple-A as part of the Rangers' and Dodgers' organizations. The 33-year-old wasn't able to find much success within either system, and he wound up posting a 5.40 ERA over 31.2 innings with the Oklahoma City Dodgers after joining the club in August. He will likely serve as organizational depth for Baltimore in 2018.

Eddie Gamboa: Elects free agency
Gamboa cleared waivers and elected free agency Friday.
Gamboa refused an outright assignment to the minors after passing through waivers untouched. The 32-year-old, who compiled a 6.49 ERA and 46:39 K:BB in 77.2 innings (14 starts) with Triple-A Round Rock this season, will now look to catch on with another team looking for pitching depth.

Rangers' Eddie Gamboa: Clears waivers
Gamboa cleared waivers Thursday and will decide whether to elect free agency or accept an outright assignment, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Gamboa was DFA'd by the Rangers this past Thursday in order to clear space for Preston Claiborne on the 40-man roster. The right-hander hasn't pitched in the majors this season, and posted a 6.49 ERA with a 1.72 WHIP with Triple-A Round Rock during 14 starts. Gamboa, a 32-year-old veteran, could choose free agency and try to latch on with a team that needs bullpen depth in the coming days, or else he will likely continue pitching at Round Rock for the time being.

Rangers' Eddie Gamboa: Designated for assignment
The Rangers designated Gamboa for assignment Thursday.
The right-hander was jettisoned so the Rangers could make room for Preston Claiborne on the 40-man roster. Gamboa, who was on an option at Triple-A Round Rock, had a brief stint of success with the Rays in 2016 but has done little to earn a major-league roster spot with Texas. The 32-year-old carried a 6.49 ERA in 14 starts for Round Rock but may catch on with another organization sometime this season if he's not retained in Texas' system.

Rangers' Eddie Gamboa: Sent to Triple-A
Gamboa was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock on Monday.
Gamboa was making a strong push for the 25-man roster before being sent down, as the 32-year-old posted a 2.12 ERA with 16 strikeouts across 17 spring innings. He'll likely spend the year as organizational depth, though it's possible he could be called up to serve in a bullpen role.

Rangers' Eddie Gamboa: Incorporates cutter, quiets Mariners
Gamboa gave up five hits and one walk while striking out six over five innings against the Mariners on Sunday. He was charged with two unearned runs.
Gamboa, primarily a knuckleballer, incorporated his cutter to great success, although it's important to keep in mind that he was facing a Seattle lineup that was without most of its regulars. Regardless, Gamboa has put himself very much into contention for a spot on the Opening Day roster with his recent performance. According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Gamboa could be used as a back-end starter or as a long man out of the bullpen. Mike Hauschild and Dillon Gee represent Gamboa's primary competition for a rotation spot with Andrew Cashner (shoulder), Tyson Ross (shoulder) and Chi Chi Gonzalez (elbow) all ailing.

Rangers' Eddie Gamboa: Dealt to Rangers
Gamboa was traded to the Rangers for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
Gamboa was DFA'd earlier Tuesday, and the Rays were able to trade him before he was exposed to waivers. The 32-year-old made his MLB debut last season, posting a 1.35 ERA across 13.1 innings, although these numbers are marred by a difficult 11:8 K:BB ratio. He'll likely serve as organizational bullpen depth for the Rangers in 2017.

Rays' Eddie Gamboa: Designated for assignment Tuesday
Gamboa was designated for assignment Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
In order to make room for the newly signed Nathan Eovaldi (elbow), Gamboa was dropped from the 40-man roster, and the Rays will now have 10 days to trade him or expose him to waivers. The 32-year-old didn't make his MLB debut until last season and turned in a 1.35 ERA over 13.1 innings, but a 11:8 K:BB ratio suggested that ERA wasn't reflective of his true talents. It's likely he'll go unclaimed off waivers and will remain in the organization as relief depth at Triple-A.

Rays' Eddie Gamboa: Thriving in first taste of major league action
Gamboa's ERA stands at a stellar 1.59 despite having taken the loss to the White Sox on Wednesday, while the three innings he worked equaled his longest stint in his short major league career.
The 31-year-old feel-good story is acquitting himself very well in his first taste of major league action after spending seven-plus seasons in the minors. Gamboa had only given up one earned run-- back in his first outing on Sep. 7 versus the Blue Jays-- prior to yielding a seventh-inning solo homer to Todd Frazier on Wednesday. He's been valuable in long relief situations, with four appearances of at least two innings. Although control has been in an issue in a couple of those outings, as evidenced by his 7:6 K:BB, Gamboa has certainly provided the Rays with reason to believe he can be a valuable innings-eater out of the bullpen in the same vein as Erasmo Ramirez. At minimum, he would appear to have done enough to be in the mix for a relief role come spring training.

Rays' Eddie Gamboa: Turns in strong two-inning effort in Tuesday loss
Gamboa fired two innings of two-hit, scoreless ball in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Yankees, walking two and recording a pair of strikeouts.
The veteran knuckleballer made his first appearance in 15 days, turning in his second consecutive strong effort. Gamboa had hurled three innings of scoreless ball his last time out against the Orioles, and helped keep the Yankees at bay over the last two innings Tuesday. Despite some control problems (4:5 K:BB), the 31-year-old has acquitted himself well after finally getting a major league opportunity following a long minor league career.

Rays' Eddie Gamboa: Joins big league roster
Gamboa was recalled from Triple-A Durham on Thursday.
The knuckleballer has never appeared in a major league game and has spent the entirety of the 2016 season at Triple-A, where he holds a healthy 2.68 ERA across 94.0 innings. The Rays will likely give him a few chances down the stretch, but at 31 years old, he's far from a high-upside player.

Rays' Eddie Gamboa: Reassigned to minor league camp Tuesday
Gamboa was reassigned to minor league camp Tuesday.
The move doesn't come as much of a surprise, as the 31-year-old has yet to appear in a major league game in his career. Gamboa will likely begin the season at Triple-A and will provide organizational pitching depth.

Rays' Eddie Gamboa: Signs minor league contract with Rays
Gamboa signed a minor league contract with the Rays with an invite to spring training, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Gamboa spent his first full season at the Triple-A level with the Orioles organization last season, logging a 8-11 record with a 4.61 ERA and 1.57 WHIP in 19 starts. The knuckleballer hasn't appeared in the majors yet, and is running out of time to make his way up since he's already 30 years old. He'll likely serve as a depth option since there are plenty of younger options already slated for a rotation spot with Tampa Bay.
