Cardinals' Kendry Flores: Fails physical, contract voided
Flores' minor league contract was voided after he failed a physical on Thursday, Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com reports.
The 25-year-old was sent to have an MRI earlier in the week after experiencing some shoulder discomfort, and it turned out to be pretty serious, as the Cardinals decided to void his non-guaranteed contract after his physical results came in. He was a non-roster invitee for the Red Birds, and although he was likely an organizational depth piece, his hopes of catching on with another team this year now seem pretty unlikely until he's healthy.

Cardinals' Kendry Flores: Sent to have MRI
Flores is set to have an MRI on his throwing shoulder Tuesday, Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com reports.
Flores, who is a non-roster invitee to Cardinals camp, was sent to have an MRI after he was experiencing shoulder discomfort. It's a tough day for St. Louis pitchers, as top pitching prospect Alex Reyes also had an MRI on his throwing arm. The severity of the injury still isn't known and we will wait on the MRI results before more can be determined.

Cardinals' Kendry Flores: Signs minor league deal with Cardinals
Flores signed a minor league contract with the Cardinals on Wednesday, MLB.com's Jenifer Langosch reports.
He joins his third organization after most recently spending two seasons in the Marlins' system. Flores saw 15.2 innings of big league work, splitting time between the rotation and the bullpen. Given the Cardinals extensive starting pitching depth, it would not be surprising if they attempted to develop Flores as a reliever.

Marlins' Kendry Flores: Designated for assignment Tuesday
Flores was designated for assignment by the Marlins on Tuesday.
The Marlins activated Justin Bour off the 60-day disabled list Tuesday, so a 40-man roster spot needed to be cleared in order to get the hard-hitting first baseman back to Miami. Flores ended up being the odd man out despite pushing for a spot in the big league bullpen before early-season shoulder issues derailed his season. The 24-year-old put together good campaigns in the minor leagues in the past, so there's a good chance that he'll end up back on the 40-man roster prior to the start of next season, but for the time being he'll have to wait for another crack at the major leagues.

Marlins' Kendry Flores: Back on the mound
Flores (shoulder) tossed five hitless innings in a game with High-A Jupiter on Monday.
Flores missed roughly six weeks of action after injuring his shoulder in May, but he has recovered from his setback and is back in action. It should not be long before he moves back to Triple-A New Orleans, where he opened the season.

Marlins' Kendry Flores: Optioned back to New Orleans
Flores (shoulder) was optioned to Triple-A New Orleans on Sunday, MLB.com's Joe Frisaro reports.
Flores was called up to serve as the Marlins' 26th man during Saturday's doubleheader with the Nationals, but had to leave his start in Game 2 after three innings due to a right shoulder strain. That injury ended up landing the right-hander on the disabled list, but since he was just a temporary player, he will be placed on the minor league DL. Once ready for activation, Flores will play at the Triple-A level, where he owns a 2.59 ERA on the season.

Marlins' Kendry Flores: Placed on 15-day DL
Flores (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day DL on Saturday.
The Marlins acted quickly in moving Flores to the DL after the right-hander was forced to exit Saturday's start against the Nationals in the fourth inning with a right shoulder strain. Flores was only making a spot start with the Marlins playing a doubleheader, so the team won't need to find a replacement for him in the rotation.

Marlins' Kendry Flores: Leaves start with shoulder strain
Flores left Saturday's start after three innings due to a right shoulder strain, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports. He is considered day-to-day.
The young right-hander was called up to be the Marlins' 26th man for Saturday's doubleheader in Washington, but his abbreviated appearance will tax a Marlins bullpen that already had to throw 3.1 innings in Game 1. Flores allowed a hit and three walks while striking out one batter in his outing Saturday before being relieved by Jose Urena. It's unclear if he'll be ready to make his next scheduled start at Triple-A New Orleans due to his shoulder strain.

Marlins' Kendry Flores: Will start Game 2 of doubleheader Saturday
Flores will be called up as the 26th man to start Game 2 of the Marlins' doubelheader Saturday.
He'll return to Triple-A after Saturday's spot start, but Flores has posted steady results at New Orleans through six minor league starts in 2016 (2.59 ERA, 1.35 WHIP). Don't expect much in terms of strikeouts, however, as Flores has fanned 66 batters in 90 innings at the Triple-A level since the start of last season.

Marlins' Kendry Flores: Spot start Saturday?
Flores is a candidate to make a spot start for the Marlins on Saturday, MLB.com reports.
Flores has put up a 2.59 ERA and 1.34 WHIP over 31.1 innings at Triple-A New Orleans this year with 24 strikeouts and 12 walks. The team is expected to use their extra roster spot for Saturday's double-header to bring up a spot starter and Flores, who made seven appearances (one start) in the majors last year, is a top candidate.

Marlins' Kendry Flores: Optioned to Triple-A on Wednesday
Flores was optioned to Triple-A New Orleans on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old pitched three scoreless innings with the big club, but he will start the year in the minors regardless. He posted a 2.61 ERA in 10 starts with the Zephyrs last season, so he could find his way to Miami later in the season if he continues to perform well against advanced batters.
