  • Austin DeCarr: Let go by Yankees

DeCarr was released by the Yankees on Monday, Robert M. Pimpsner of Pinstriped Prospects reports. DeCarr, a third-round pick by the Yankees in the 2014 draft, has battled injuries throughout his minor-league career. The right-hander missed all of 2015 and part of 2016 after undergoing Tommy John surgery and sat out the entire 2019 campaign with another injury. DeCarr's best minor-league season came in 2018, when he compiled a 3.50 ERA and 1.47 WHIP along with 39 strikeouts in 36 innings out of the bullpen with Low-A Charleston.
