Jordan Johnson: Cut by Cincinnati
The Reds released Johnson on Monday, J.J. Cooper of Baseball America reports.
Since entering the professional ranks as a 23rd-round pick in 2014, Johnson has made a slow climb through the minors, topping out with 11 starts at the Triple-A level in 2018. He'll now be moving on from his second organization after struggling in 15 starts between three of the Reds' affiliates in 2019, going 0-7 with a 6.79 ERA and 1.71 WHIP over 50.1 innings.
