Rutckyj was sent to minor league camp Sunday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
During his limited action in the Grapefruit League, Rutckyj was a liability on the mound. Over just 2.1 innings, he gave up seven runs (five earned) off five hits and three walks. Rutckyj will likely start the season at Double-A Trenton and give the Yankees further organizational depth.

Rutckyj agreed to a minor league deal with the Yankees that includes an invitation to spring training.
The 31-year-old has spent his entire career in the Yankees organization, only progressing to Double-A in his seven seasons. In his time at Double-A, the southpaw has a 4.12 ERA across 19.2 innings while striking out 25. He will likely stay in the minors in 2017 and serve as organizational depth.

Rutckyj was re-acquired by the Yankees on Friday.
After being selected by the Braves in December's Rule 5 draft, Rutckyj will return to the Yankees organization. The lefty will has been assigned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
