The Mets outrighted Grey to Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday.
Grey will remain in the Mets organization after he went unclaimed off waivers upon being designated for assignment Thursday. The 28-year-old right-hander was called up from Triple-A on Aug. 22 but didn't appear in any games for the Mets before being optioned to the minors five days later and then removed from the 40-man roster. Grey owns a 5.52 ERA and 1.61 WHIP over 93 innings at Syracuse on the season.

Grey was called up by the Mets on Monday, but he didn't make his major-league debut during his stint in the bullpen. He'll head back to the minors, where he's posted a 5.52 ERA and 1.61 WHIP in 93 innings over 22 appearances (21 starts) at Syracuse.
