  • Denyi Reyes: Staying in KBO

The Samsung Lions of the Korea Baseball Organization re-signed Reyes to a one-year, $900,000 contract Monday, Dan Kurtz of MyKBO.net reports. Reyes will have the opportunity to earn $300,000 more in incentives. The 28-year-old made 26 starts for the Lions in 2024, collecting a 3.81 ERA and 114:30 K:BB over 144 innings. He posted a 6.26 ERA in 12 appearances in the majors from 2022-23.

  • Denyi Reyes: Headed to Korea

Reyes signed a contract with the Samsung Lions of the Korea Baseball Organization on Thursday, Jee-ho Yoo of the Yonhap News Agency reports. He'll earn $800,000 in 2024, with the chance to make an additional $200,000 in incentives. Reyes, 27, made 12 appearances over the last two seasons between the Orioles and Mets, recording a 6.26 ERA and 20:9 K:BB over 27.1 innings.

  • Denyi Reyes: Testing out free agency

Reyes elected to become a free agent Monday, Abbey Mastracco of the New York Daily News reports. He's exercised his right to test out free agency rather than accepting the Mets' outright assignment. Reyes posted a 7.78 ERA over 19.2 major-league innings in 2023.

  • Mets' Denyi Reyes: Pushed off 40-man roster

The Mets placed Reyes on outright waivers Thursday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports. Reyes is off the 40-man roster in New York and will probably soon become a free agent. The 27-year-old right-hander struggled to a 7.78 ERA over 19.2 major-league innings in 2023 and also held an underwhelming 5.79 ERA and 72:33 K:BB in 91.2 innings of work with Triple-A Syracuse.

  • Mets' Denyi Reyes: Recalled from Triple-A

The Mets recalled Reyes from Triple-A Syracuse on Thursday. Reyes will give the Mets a fresh bullpen arm heading into their final four games. He's struggled to a 6.23 ERA through 17.1 innings of work this season at the major-league level.

  • Mets' Denyi Reyes: Sent back to minors

The Mets optioned Reyes to Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports. Reyes had a good showing during his spot start Wednesday, but he'll head back to Triple-A as the Mets opt to boost their bullpen by calling up Grant Hartwig. Reyes holds a 6.23 ERA and 1.50 WHIP through 17 innings in the majors and would likely only return to the big-league club for depth purposes.

  • Mets' Denyi Reyes: Effective in no-decision

Reyes completed 5.1 innings against Texas on Wednesday, allowing two runs on three hits and no walks while striking out three batters. He did not factor into the decision. Reyes faced a daunting task facing the third-highest scoring team in the majors after spending nearly all of the past four months in the minors. The right-hander was mostly up to the task, holding the Rangers scoreless for three frames before Corey Seager tagged him for a solo shot in the fourth. Reyes gave up one more run in the outing and departed in line for the win, but the Mets' bullpen couldn't hold the lead. Reyes still holds a poor 6.23 ERA on the campaign, though he's had a rough draw -- of his 17.1 innings, 12.1 have come against the league's top three scoring teams (Atlanta, Texas and the Dodgers). It's uncertain if he'll stick in the rotation, with the deciding factor possibly being whether Carlos Carrasco is claimed off waivers or moved to the bullpen if he goes unclaimed.

  • Mets' Denyi Reyes: Starting Wednesday

Reyes will be called up from Triple-A Syracuse to start Wednesday's game against the Rangers, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports. Reyes hasn't enjoyed much success in the majors or minors this season. He holds a 5.80 ERA and 1.42 WHIP through 76 frames with Syracuse, and he's surrendered 10 runs through 12 innings in the big leagues. Nonetheless, he'll come up from Triple-A to give the Mets a few innings Wednesday, but fantasy managers should temper their expectations for the 26-year-old righty.

  • Mets' Denyi Reyes: Optioned to Triple-A

The Mets optioned Reyes to Triple-A Syracuse after Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader. Reyes was selected from Syracuse for a spot start ahead of Game 1 and surrendered five runs in 4.2 frames against Atlanta while striking out four and walking four. Although Reyes will head back to Triple-A, he retains a spot on the 40-man roster. Tyson Miller was recalled from Syracuse in a corresponding move.

  • Mets' Denyi Reyes: Joins roster for spot start

The Mets selected Reyes' contract from Triple-A Syracuse to start the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against Atlanta. Reyes owns a 6.14 RA in six appearances for the Mets this season. Only one of those appearances was a start, and it came under nearly identical circumstances, as it was the first game of another doubleheader against Atlanta back in May. Reyes lasted just one inning in that contest, giving up five earned runs.

  • Mets' Denyi Reyes: Designated for assignment

Reyes was designated for assignment by the Mets on Tuesday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports. DJ Stewart has been selected from Triple-A Syracuse in a corresponding roster move. Reyes, 26, allowed five earned runs over 7.1 innings (six appearances) earlier this season with New York and has also struggled to a 6.97 ERA in 41.1 frames at Triple-A.

  • Mets' Denyi Reyes: On tap for start in doubleheader

Reyes is scheduled to start the first game of the Mets' doubleheader with Atlanta at Citi Field on Monday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports. The Mets are likely to treat the first game of the twin bill as more of a bullpen day, as Reyes hasn't covered more than two innings or 36 pitches in any of his six appearances between the big club and Triple-A Norfolk this season and likely won't push far past those thresholds Monday. New York could call up an additional relief arm ahead of the doubleheader to provide extra depth behind Reyes.

  • Mets' Denyi Reyes: Will get stretched out at Triple-A

Reyes will move into the rotation for Triple-A Syracuse and get stretched back out as a starter, Abbey Mastracco of The New York Daily News reports. The 26-year-old right-hander made five appearances out of the Mets' bullpen to begin the season, tossing 6.1 scoreless innings with a 7:2 K:BB, but as he had minor-league options remaining he was sent down Wednesday when Tommy Hunter came off the IL. New York's starting pitching depth is being severely tested in the early going, so Reyes could get a look in the big-league rotation once he gets stretched out if injuries and absences keep piling up for the Mets.

  • Mets' Denyi Reyes: Sent to minors

The Mets optioned Reyes to Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports. Reyes has appeared in five games since being called up and has posted a 7:2 K:BB in 6.1 scoreless innings. He now yields his roster spot to Tommy Hunter (back), who was reinstated from the 15-day injured list Wednesday.

  • Mets' Denyi Reyes: Contract selected

The Mets selected Reyes' contract from Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday. New York cleared room on the 40-man roster by transferring Bryce Montes de Oca (elbow) to the 60-day injured list and cleared space on the 26-man active roster by placing Tommy Hunter (back) on the 15-day IL. Reyes has prior major-league experience, as he recorded a 2.35 ERA and 1.17 WHIP over 7.2 innings with Baltimore last season. He'll likely be limited to low-leverage work out of the bullpen while he's up with the Mets.

  • Orioles' Denyi Reyes: Scrubbed from 40-man roster

The Orioles designated Reyes for assignment Wednesday, Zachary Silver of MLB.com reports. He'll lose out on a 40-man spot with the Orioles selecting the contract of top prospect Gunnar Henderson ahead of Wednesday's game against the Guardians. Reyes, who hasn't surfaced in the big leagues since being optioned to the minors June 5, owns a 7.50 ERA and 1.60 WHIP across 42 innings at Triple-A Norfolk this season.

  • Orioles' Denyi Reyes: Healthy at Triple-A

Reyes (undisclosed) struck out two in two scoreless innings Sunday in his appearance for Triple-A Norfolk after being activated from the affiliate's 7-day injured list. Reyes had been shelved for just over three weeks with the unspecified injury. The right-hander previously made three relief appearances for the Orioles earlier in 2022 and retains a spot on the 40-man roster, so he could be a candidate for a call-up at some point in the second half now that he's healthy again.

  • Orioles' Denyi Reyes: Recalled by Baltimore

Reyes was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday. Reyes was sent to the minors last Thursday, but he'll rejoin Baltimore's bullpen after spending just under a week in the minors. The right-hander has posted a 1.59 ERA and 0.88 WHIP in 5.2 innings over two appearances (one start) in the majors. While he's capable of serving as a starter, he should take on a multi-inning relief role after Zac Lowther was sent down Wednesday.

  • Orioles' Denyi Reyes: Optioned to Triple-A

Reyes was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday. Reyes made his major-league debut Friday against the Tigers and struck out two in two scoreless innings. However, he'll head back to the minors after Ryan McKenna was recalled by the Orioles on Saturday.

  • Orioles' Denyi Reyes: Contract selected by Baltimore

Reyes' contract was selected by the Orioles on Thursday. Reyes has made three starts at Triple-A Norfolk this year and has posted an 8.25 ERA and 1.67 WHIP in 12 innings. The right-hander hasn't yet made his major-league debut but will be an additional relief option for the Orioles, particularly during Thursday's bullpen game against the Cardinals.
