  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Tallies sixth career two-homer game

Carroll went 2-for-5 with a two home runs, three RBI and a walk in Wednesday's extra-inning loss to the Rays. Carroll enjoyed his second two-homer game of the month and the sixth of his career Wednesday, opening the scoring with a solo shot in the first inning and launching a go-ahead two-run blast in the seventh. The star outfielder got off to a brutal start in 2024, but he's looked every bit the part of a first-round fantasy asset in the early going of 2025. Through 114 plate appearances, Carroll is slashing .327/.404/.693 with nine round trippers, 22 RBI, 23 runs scored and four stolen bases.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Stays hot in Saturday's loss

Carroll went 3-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Cubs. He led off the game by driving the third pitch he saw from Ben Brown over the fence in straightaway center field to kick off his three-hit afternoon, but the rest of the Arizona lineup only accounted for one other knock. Carroll has hit safely in 12 straight games, batting .407 (22-for-54) during that stretch with four homers, four steals, 13 runs and 13 RBI.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Tallies three steals in win

Carroll went 1-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs and an RBI in Thursday's 6-4 win against the Diamondbacks The 24-year-old extended his hit streak to 10 games with a fourth-inning single, but he provided most of his production Thursday in the opening frame as he stole second and third base after reaching via a dropped third strike. Carroll is batting .386 (17-for-44) with nine extra-base hits, 11 RBI and 12 runs during the streak, as he appears to have rediscovered his Rookie of the Year form from 2023 after underwhelming with a .750 OPS last season.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Contributes to improbable comeback

Carroll went 2-for-5 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Brewers. The Diamondbacks entered the bottom of ninth down 4-0, but they rallied for five runs to escape with a walk-off win. Carroll was in the middle of the rally with a two-run double, his team-leading 11th extra-base hit of the season. It's hard to remember Carroll's 2024 season-opening slump that lingered into the second half of the season. He's batting .322/.412/.695 with 10 RBI and 12 runs over 68 plate appearances.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Goes yard twice in win

Carroll went 2-for-4 with two home runs, three RBI and one walk in Friday's 6-4 win over Washington. Carroll had Nationals right-hander Jake Irvin's number Friday, taking him deep for a solo homer in the third inning and tagging the righty once again for a two-run blast in the second inning. Through 37 plate appearances in 2025, the speedy center fielder is slashing a healthy .258/.378/.613 with three long balls, two doubles, six RBI and six runs scored but has surprisingly not yet attempted a stolen base in eight contests.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Swats fourth spring homer

Carroll went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Sunday's spring game against the Padres. The blast was the fourth of the spring for Carroll, who is having a monster Cactus League. The outfielder is slashing .370/.433/1.285 with five extra-base hits, nine RBI and two steals through 10 games. Given his productive finish to the second half of the 2024 regular season which has continued into spring training, Carroll's first-half slump of 2024 is looking like an aberration.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Returns to field

Carroll started in right field, batted leadoff and went 2-for-3 with a run scored in Saturday's spring game against Cincinnati. Carroll returned to the lineup after missing the last few days. He had been set to return Friday, but that game was canceled due to weather. He's mostly batted second during Cactus League competition, but with split-squad games Saturday, both Carroll and Ketel Marte were atop the separate batting orders. Marte has been the regular leadoff hitter when both players have been in a lineup.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Day-to-day with back issue

Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Monday that Carroll (back) is considered day-to-day, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports. Carroll had to be removed from Sunday's Cactus League game against the Rangers due to back tightness. The outfielder said after the contest that he was unconcerned about the injury, and Lovullo's comments Monday confirm that it's considered minor. Carroll has been excellent so far this spring, going 6-for-12 with three home runs and a pair of stolen bases.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Exits with back tightness

Carroll was removed from Sunday's spring game against the Rangers due to lower-back tightness. Carroll batted leadoff and started in right field Sunday, going 0-for-2 with a strikeout before exiting with the injury. The severity of the issue isn't yet known, and the 24-year-old should be considered day-to-day until more information is available.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Adjusts bat position

Carroll has tweaked his bat positioning when setting up in the batters box, Alex Weiner of 's Arizona Sports reports. He previously kept the bat flat over his left shoulder before changing to a more upright position. Carroll deployed the refined bat position Monday, when he turned on a high breaking ball for his first spring home run. This was a tweak Carroll started during the second half of 2024, and he continued to work on it over the offseason. "We talked about, I guess, shortening the path to the ball," manager Torey Lovullo said. "Creating better angles to certain pitches. It's not hindering his ability to hit the pitch as well as he's normally hitting, so he feels like that's a good starting spot for him." The new positioning worked for Carroll in the second half of 2024. After slumping in the first half (.635 OPS, five home runs), Carroll popped after the All-Star break (.919 OPS, 17 home runs),

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Plays six innings in spring debut

Carroll started in right field and went 0-for-3 in Saturday's spring game against Colorado. Carroll was part of a contingent of Diamondbacks regulars that made their Cactus League debuts Saturday. He'll land in right or center field, depending on whether Alek Thomas or Jake McCarthy wins a starting spot in the outfield. But where Carroll lands defensively is of less concern than his season-opening slump in 2024 that lingered through the first half (.635 OPS). He eventually turned it around in the second half, posting a .919 OPS and reestablishing the reputation earned in 2023 when Carroll won the NL Rookie of the Year award.

Carroll is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers. As Jack Sommers of Sports Illustrated notes, the Diamondbacks' lineup came out late Sunday and at this point it's unclear whether Carroll's absence is due to injury. Pavin Smith will get the start in right field and lead off against right-hander Frankie Montas.

Carroll went 1-for-3 with a walk, a triple and a run scored in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Rockies. Carroll tripled to lead off the game and trotted home on Ketel Marte's home run. It was Carroll's league-leading 14th triple. The run scored was his 112th, which ranks tied for fifth in MLB and is somewhat remarkable given the slump he endured during the first half of the season. Since the All-Star break, Carroll has a .944 OPS with 14 homers, eight triples, five doubles, 22 walks, 10 steals, 35 RBI and 52 runs scored over 52 games.
