Fenter signed a minor-league contract with the Yankees on Wednesday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
Fenter is back in affiliated ball after delivering a 2.95 ERA with 32 strikeouts over 21.1 innings last season for the Lancaster Barnstormers of the independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. The 27-year-old right-hander will probably be ticketed for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre out of the Yankees' camp this spring.

Giants' Gray Fenter: Inks minor-league deal

Fenter signed a minor-league contract with the Giants on Friday.
Fenter spent the entire 2021 campaign at Double-A Bowie and recorded a 5.35 ERA and 1.54 WHIP in 77.1 innings across 21 appearances (13 starts). The 25-year-old could be in the mix to make his major-league debut at some point in 2022.

Orioles' Gray Fenter: Returns to Baltimore

Fenter was returned by the Cubs to the Orioles on Friday, Jon Meoli of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Fenter was selected by the Cubs with the 14th pick of the Rule 5 draft but evidently wasn't in the team's plans. He'll return to the Orioles' organization and will continue his climb up the minor-league ladder, where he's yet to pitch above Low-A.
