Mets' Tim Stauffer: Designated for assignment Monday
Stauffer was designated for assignment Monday, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.

Stauffer will enter the offseason as a free agent, and will likely be a long relief option or back of the rotation starter wherever he lands.
