The NASCAR playoffs will continue on Sunday when the 2024 South Point 400 is held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The race is scheduled for 267 laps around the 1.5-mile tri-oval and the green flag drops at 2:30 p.m. ET. The playoff field was just cut from 12 drivers to eight and Kyle Larson is the leader in the NASCAR standings after a win last week on the Charlotte Roval. Larson has won the last two races at LVMS and he's the +260 (bet $100 to win $260) favorite in the 2024 South Point 400 odds.

He's followed in the NASCAR at Las Vegas odds by Tyler Reddick (+650), Denny Hamlin (+750) and Christopher Bell (+750), who won the top starting spot for Sunday's race. Before entering any 2024 South Point 400 picks, NASCAR DFS lineups on sites like DraftKings and FanDuel, or locking in NASCAR props on sites like PrizePicks, Sleeper Fantasy, and Underdog Fantasy, be sure to see the latest 2024 NASCAR at Las Vegas predictions from SportsLine's proven projection model.

Developed by daily Fantasy pro and SportsLine predictive data engineer Mike McClure, this proprietary NASCAR prediction model simulates every race 10,000 times, taking into account factors such as track history and recent results.

It called its first winner of the 2024 season with Kyle Larson in Las Vegas for a 21-5 betting payout and predicted Denny Hamlin's wins in Bristol at 5-1 and Richmond at 17-4. It also impressively nailed five of Larson's wins during his historic season in 2021. All told, the model has nailed a whopping 18 winners since 2021, including nine last year and three in the first seven races this season. Anyone who followed its lead on betting apps and sportsbooks on those NASCAR picks saw huge returns.

Top 2024 South Point 400 predictions

For the 2024 South Point 400, the model is high on Martin Truex Jr. at +1700 in the latest 2024 NASCAR at Las Vegas odds. He's a target for anyone looking for a huge payday. Truex's pursuit of a second championship ended last week after a 21st-place finish in Charlotte but he's been solid in Las Vegas of late.

He led four laps and ran seventh in the Pennzoil 400 at LVMS earlier this season and he's had 16 top-10 finishes there in 25 career Cup starts. He won the 2017 Kobalt 400 in Las Vegas and then was a winner again at the 2019 South Point 400.

And a massive shocker: Ryan Blaney (+1000) stumbles and barely cracks the top 10. There are far better values in the 2024 NASCAR Las Vegas starting lineup. Blaney ran 10th last week on the Charlotte Roval and enters the Round of 8 sitting fifth in the NASCAR standings.

However, he's winless in 16 career starts at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and hasn't led a lap in his last three starts there despite finishing 13th, sixth and third in those races. He's been outside the top 10 now in three of his last five starts at LVMS and had to finishes outside the top 30 in his last five starts this season. See which other drivers to avoid and the rest of the projected NASCAR leaderboard at SportsLine.
