Tyler Reddick won the pole for the Straight Talk Wireless 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway in qualifying on Saturday morning, posting a lap of 32.248 (167.452 MPH) to earn his third pole of the 2024 season and his first in this year's NASCAR playoffs. Reddick had previously won the pole at Darlington in May and for the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis.

Reddick's pole gives him a prime opportunity to bounce back from the events of a week ago at Las Vegas, where Reddick was involved in a multi-car accident that saw him go upside down and left him 30 points below the cut line to advance to the Championship 4. Of the five playoff drivers that start in the top 10, three of them -- Reddick on pole, Denny Hamlin in fourth, and Chase Elliott in seventh -- are currently below the cut line to advance to the final round.

Kyle Larson will start from the outside pole, while defending Homestead winner Christopher Bell will roll off third. Defending Cup champion Ryan Blaney will start 20th, with William Byron in 25th and Las Vegas winner Joey Logano starting 26th. Logano's team had to change their steering system following qualifying, meaning he will have to drop to the rear of the field for Sunday's race along with Chris Buescher whose team also made steering changes post-qualifying.
