Betting preview for Tuesday, Feb. 10

The seventh-ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers host the Purdue Boilermakers, who are 13th in the latest poll, as the Big Ten foes try to get on a roll before tournament time. The Huskers (21-2, 10-2) have lost two of their past three games, with both losses to top-10 teams, while Purdue (19-4, 9-3) has won its past two following a three-game slide. Nebraska is 12-1 at home, with the only loss on Feb. 1 to No. 8 Illinois on Feb. 1, and won 80-68 at Rutgers on Saturday. The Boilermakers beat Maryland by 30 points before getting past Oregon 68-64 on Saturday. The Cornhuskers are 1.5-point home favorites, and the SportsLine Projection Model has them covering in 51% of the simulations. The model has a strong pay on Over 148.5, as that hits in a whopping 71.6% of simulations to earn a "B" grade.

In other top-25 action, third-ranked Houston is a 16.5-point favorite at Utah, and the model also likes the Over, which is set at 142.5, as it hits 67.6% of the time. No. 8 Illinois hosts Wisconsin in another Big Ten battle, and the Badgers are covering as 11.5-point underdogs in 53% of simulations. Two ACC teams are in Florida, with 11th-ranked North Carolina visiting Miami, where they are favored by just 1.5 points, and No. 15 Virginia is at FSU and are 7.5-point road favorites.

The model has an "A" grade on Over 210.5 in Rockets vs. Clippers, where Houston is favored by 7.5 points. The Rockets (32-19) stopped a two-game slide by winning at Oklahoma City on Saturday, though OKC was without star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Now they play two in Los Angeles against the Clippers (25-27). L.A. has won six of its past nine and routed the Timberwolves 115-96 in Minneapolis on Sunday. The Rockets are fourth in the Western Conference, while the Clippers are 10th and have ground to make up if they are to make the playoffs. The Over is hitting in 67.6% of simulations, as the SportsLine model's projected score pushes this one past 220 points.
