Charlotte Hornets swingman Gerald Henderson underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right wrist, the team announced on Friday. The procedure removed scar tissue, and his wrist will be immobilized for two weeks before he begins rehab.
Henderson averaged 14.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game in the regular season, but those numbers dropped to 9.8 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists in four games against the Miami Heat in Charlotte's first-round loss. He shot just 38 percent against Miami -- perhaps it was the defense, perhaps the wrist was bothering him.
