After starting Jeff Taylor in Saturday's win over the Hawks, coach Steve Clifford said he was pleased with how Taylor played, reports The Charlotte Observer.
"He did a good job," Clifford said. "He was locked in from the beginning of the game. Last [season], when Michael Kidd-Gilchrist got hurt, he had some really good games. I think his concentration was up and he played really well."
In 27 minutes of play Saturday, Taylor scored nine points along with two rebounds and two assists and Clifford indicated Taylor could remain a starter in place of Lance Stephenson.
"I think Lance has played better with the second unit than the starters," Clifford said.
