Kobe Bryant isn't telling Los Angeles Lakers fans to calm down. The team is 0-4, and the star guard is shooting 32.3 percent from the field and 20.6 percent from the 3-point line. The Lakers are allowing opponents to score 113 points per 100 possessions, the worst mark in the entire league. These are extremely troubling numbers, and Bryant doesn't see the point in damage control:
What would Kobe Bryant tell Lakers fans who are concerned after the team's 0-4 start? "Just freak out," he said. "It’s good for the soul."

After a loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, Bryant told reporters, "I freaking suck" and declared himself the 200th-best player in the NBA. Los Angeles head coach Byron Scott gave Bryant the day off practice on Monday because he was angry with himself. On Tuesday, the Lakers lost 120-109 to the Denver Nuggets at home, and Bryant airballed wide-open shots like this:
It's early, but the Lakers are looking very similar to last season despite the additions of Roy Hibbert, Lou Williams, D'Angelo Russell, Brandon Bass and Marcelo Huertas. Julius Randle's offense has been a bright spot the last couple of games, but this whole situation has fans worried for a good reason. This could be another long, long season.
The Lakers visit the Brooklyn Nets on Friday. What in the world will Bryant say if they manage to lose that game?
