The Orlando Magic announced on Friday that forward Hedo Turkoglu will undergo surgery on his face after taking an elbow from New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony during a Thursday night game.

Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu will under surgery for a facial fracture and miss at least the final three weeks of the regular season.Through Friday night's games, the Magic were 32-23, good for the No. 6 spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
The team announced the news late Friday, a day after Turkoglu left the second quarter of the Magic’s 96-80 loss to the New York Knicks.
His surgery is slated for Saturday. He will be re-evaluated after three weeks to determine his playoff availability.
Turkoglu, 33, is averaging 10.7 points, 4.5 assists and 3.8 rebounds for the Magic this season.
