With each passing day, Kentucky big man Karl-Anthony Towns is becoming a more overwhelming favorite to go No. 1 to the Minnesota Timberwolves in Thursday's NBA Draft.
At offshore sportsbook TopBet, Towns has moved from -800 (risk $800 to win $100) to -2,000 (risk $2,000 to win $100). Other books have seen Towns rise from -200 to the -1,000 neighborhood.
TopBet lists Duke star Jahlil Okafor next at +700 to be the top pick, D'Angelo Russell at +2,500 (risk $100 to win $2,500), the Field (any other player) at +5,000 and Emmanuel Mudiay at +10,000.
Towns worked out for Minnesota on Saturday after dining with team brass Friday night. It's the only team he's worked out for during the pre-draft process. Two CBSSports.com experts project the T-Wolves to take Towns; a third expects Minnesota to grab Okafor.
TopBet has a separate prop on whether Towns and Okafor will go 1-2 to the T-Wolves and Lakers. "Yes" is a solid favorite at -400, while "No" is set at +300.
