It's official: Reggie Evans of the Brooklyn Nets has been fined $5,000 by the NBA for his second flopping violation of the season.
As you can see in the video above, Evans was either suffering from vertigo when Lakers forward Metta World Peace brushed against his arm in Tuesday night's game or World Peace is stronger than we all imagined. Evans' first violation came against the Boston Celtics on Nov. 15 of this season.
Based on his play so far this season, the Nets forward doesn't seem to care about the new rule. In the first three weeks, he's already flopped twice. It seems to be ingrained into what he does. Maybe as the stakes of the penalties increase he'll change, but as of right now the warning seems to not have registered at all with his style of play.
Could he be the first player this season to end up with a suspension if the violations keep stacking up? Is he the poster boy for flopping in the NBA?
J.J. Barea, Kevin Martin and Donald Sloan are the only other reported warnings at this time.
