The Nets have no 3-point shooters, but they're also not going anywhere and need to shop for whatever upgrades they can. The Sporting News reports that their best shooter, Bojan Bogdanovic has received interest from Charlotte.
GM Billy King is conceding privately what we all know: The Nets aren’t making the playoffs. So it’s time to start breaking up the team. So far, Charlotte has called to try to deal for Bojan Bogdanovic, the team’s top 3-point marksman, Sporting News has learned.
Source: Knicks' upgrades are obvious but still not close to finished.
It's kind of a curious report of interest, given that the Hornets are fourth in 3-point rate this season... but then you notice that they're 17th in 3-point percentage. They shoot a lot of 3's but aren't making them at a high enough percentage. Here's what's sad: Bogdanovic is only shooting just under 34 percent from 3-point range.
He's not even shooting well, and he's the Nets' only real perimeter threat.
Have I mentioned the Nets are sad?
The Nets' interest in a shooter is more interesting than this specific rumor. We'll see if the Nets could peel some young prospect from the Hornets for Bogdanovic, like P.J. Hairston who has struggled in a lineup crunch.
