Friday best bets at DraftKings Sportsbook

  • Iona (-175) vs. Fairfield
  • Knicks (-7.5) vs. Trail Blazers (-105)
  • Michigan State (+1.5) vs. Michigan (-125)

Iona (-175) vs. Fairfield

"KenPom ranks Iona 39 spots higher for this MAAC matchup," SportsLine expert Matthew Severance said. "The Gaels are 2-0 on this three-game homestand. They have won 17 in a row in this series at the Hynes Center. I have to say that Iona's game notes are pretty impressively detailed, whereas some schools this size don't even put out any. An example: Defensively, when holding teams to less than 1.0 PPP, Iona is 9-1 and 6-0 in 72 possessions or fewer. With a 1.0 opponent PPP or greater, Iona is 5-7 overall and 1-4 with > 72 possessions." Bet the Iona to win at DraftKings here:

Knicks (-7.5) vs. Trail Blazers (-105)

There was panic in the streets of New York City a few weeks ago when the Knicks were in the middle of a four-game losing streak, but they have corrected themselves since by winning each of their last four games, including three by more than 15 points. The Knicks have won their last four by an average of 25 points and are 29-18 entering Friday. Meanwhile, Portland (23-25) has lost three straight games. The Knicks matchup on Friday marks Portland's final game in a three-game East Coast trip before flying back to the West Coast, and Portland is playing like a team ready to go home. The Trail Balzers lost 115-11 to the Wizards, who are 12-34, on Tuesday, and the model projects a lopsided final on Friday. The Knicks cover in 64% of the model's simulations. Bet the Knicks to cover at DraftKings here:

Michigan State (+1.5) vs. Michigan (-125)

"Both of these teams enter their first of two regular season rivalry showdowns coming off sweaty mid-week wins, with Michigan snatching victory from Nebraska and Sparty having to roar back from a potential upset spot against Rutgers," SportsLine expert Chip Patterson said. "But while Michigan State might have been caught in a lookahead spot, I think Michigan's close win is more in line with its recent form. The Wolverines have failed to cover in each of their last seven games, and there are some matchup points that will allow Michigan State to negate some of what has made Michigan so excellent this season. Plus, Tom Izzo at home as an underdog in a rivalry game? I'll take those points all day." Bet Michigan State to cover at DraftKings here:
