Tim Duncan is strong, but not that strong.
Omer Asik has been officially warned by the league for flopping after he exaggerated contact in a Dec. 10 Rockets game against the Spurs. Battling for a loose ball with Duncan, Asik took an elbow in the chest and proceeded to throw his head back as if he'd been punched.
The official was fooled by Asik's acting, hitting Duncan with a loose-ball foul.
Asik has a solid reputation for flopping antics, but with the league's crackdown, he's now been caught in the act.
Asik joins Chauncey Billups, Kevin Martin, Patrick Patterson, J.J. Barea, Zaza Pachulia, Donald Sloan as players warned for flopping. Reggie Evans and Gerald Wallace are the only two players who have incurred fines.
This is Asik's first warning, meaning there's no penalty. His next violation will result in a $5,000 fine.
