Corey Brewer: Likely to join Sacramento
Brewer is expected to sign with the Kings when the NBA's transaction window opens Tuesday at noon ET, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Brewer has been out of basketball throughout the 2019-20 campaign while waiting for an NBA opportunity to open up, and it appears the late-July season restart will give him the chance to continue his career. He's reportedly chosen an offer from the Kings -- with whom he played the final two months of the 2018-19 season -- over ones from multiple clubs who will head to Orlando for the 22-team restart. Look for him to fill a minor role as a depth wing for the Kings for the remainder of the campaign.

Kings' Corey Brewer: Return to Sacramento official
Brewer officially signed with the Kings on Tuesday.
As expected, Brewer and the Kings have partnered up for the season's restart in Orlando. He hasn't played this season, and he last saw action in the NBA when he was with Sacramento during the final two months of the 2018-19 campaign. Brewer will likely have a minor role with the team.

Brewer totaled six points (2-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block in 20 minutes during Sunday's 113-106 win over the Spurs.
Brewer contributed across every category. However, he went the entire month of March (16 appearances) without reaching double figures in scoring once. The 33-year-old veteran has maintained a decent role considering the team has already been eliminated from playoff contention. Still, he's really only worthy of consideration in the very deepest formats.

Brewer's second 10-day contract expired today, so the Kings have decided to keep the veteran around for the remainder of their playoff push. While Brewer doesn't offer much in terms of offensive production, he's still proven to be a serviceable defender and high-energy guy in Sacramento. He'll likely continue playing a limited role off the bench for the Kings this season.

Brewer became a free agent Monday after the Sixers declined to sign him for the remainder of the season, Jon Johnson of Sports Radio 94WIP in Philadelphia reports.
Brewer signed on with the Sixers midway through January on a 10-day deal, and he inked a second 10-day contract that officially expired on Monday. Per league rules, the Sixers had to either sign Brewer for the remainder of the season or release him to the free agent pool, and they've elected to do the latter -- perhaps signaling that they hope to fill a need on the wing via trade or buyout. Brewer appeared in seven games for the Sixers, making three starts and averaging 7.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 20 minutes per game.

Brewer finished with 20 points (7-15 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, four steals, and two assists in 32 minutes during Saturday's 126-110 loss to the Nuggets.
Brewer scored a season-high 20 points Saturday, continuing to play big minutes for the injury-plagued 76ers. Much like he did last season for the Thunder, Brewer is providing some nice production during his time on the floor and one would think he will be given a contract for the rest of the season based on his ability to fill a number of roles. As long as he is starting he is worth considering if you need threes and steals.
