The veteran big man racked up yet another double-double and now has seven double-digit rebound tallies in the last eight games. Faried has also been an excellent source of blocks, recording multiple rejections in six contests during that span as well.

The big man's rebounding tally tied for a season high, one he'd just established the game prior Thursday versus Sioux Falls. Faried also recorded multiple blocks for the fourth straight contest as the NBA veteran unsurprisingly continues to dominate around the basket nearly every time he takes the floor.

Faried hasn't been a difference maker for Austin, and he's done little outside of contributing on the glass. The veteran big man is averaging 4.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, but those are somewhat decent contributions considering he's averaging just 14.1 minutes off the bench per game.

Faried racked up 13 points (5-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five steals, two rebounds and an assist across 23 minutes off the bench in Sunday's 117-110 loss against Capitanes.
Faried endured a rough start to life in the G League when it comes to his scoring figures, but he bounced back here with an efficient outing and a season-high mark in points. In fact, the 13 points he scored in this win were more than the total combined of his previous three appearances. This is certainly a step in the right direction for the former Nuggets forward.

It would be a stretch to say Faried has been struggling at the G League level, but his offensive production has been quite poor so far. The veteran forward has averaged just 4.0 points per game while shooting 33.3 percent from the field in his first three outings with Austin.

The veteran surprisingly signed with the Spurs' G-League affiliate a few days ago and didn't waste time to make an impact with his energy and rebounding ability. Faried has been bouncing around different countries in recent years, but he seems determined to get another shot at the NBA level, and his best path for that to happen is making things happen with Austin first. This was a decent debut for the veteran, but he should be capable of more at this level.

Kenneth Faried: Joins Spurs' G League team
Faried and the G League's Austin Spurs agreed on a contract Saturday, and he will be available for the night's game against the Lakeland Magic.
Faried has spent time overseas and in the G League since playing his last NBA season in 2018-19. Last year, he appeared in eight total games between teams in Mexico and Venezuela. When he played for the G League's Grand Rapids Gold in 2021-22, he averaged 10.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 blocks in 19.3 minutes. It seems unlikely he'll make a meaningful NBA comeback, but the Spurs are willing to give him a chance.

Faried will miss the remainder of the 2021-22 G League season due to injury, per the G League transactions page.
Faried made his first appearance in the G League this season in hopes of making it back to the NBA after playing overseas in recent seasons. He finishes the campaign averaging 10.8 points, 7.4 rebounds and one assist over 19.2 minutes per game and will now focus on healing up for 2022-23.

The veteran struggled with his shot mightily in the Gold's last contest, but Faried found his rhythm Tuesday. His 23 points marked a new season-high while also marking a team-best during the defeat to the Skyhawks. This was an encouraging bounce-back game out of the 32-year-old.

Kenneth Faried: Solid despite rough shooting
Faried totaled four points (2-10 FG, 0-3 3Pt), 15 rebounds, three steals and three blocks over 28 minutes Saturday's 99-92 victory over the Charge.
The veteran big shot just 20 percent from the floor and failed to top even five points, but Faried was still able to affect the game in other ways. The 32-year-old's 15 rebounds were by far a team-high while he was also able to record six combined blocks and steals. If Faried can figure out his scoring, it would not be surprising to see him back in the big leagues at some point this year.
