DeAndre Liggins: Let go by Heat
Liggins was waived by the Heat on Thursday.
Liggins has five years of NBA experience in his career, so there's certainly a chance he fields interest elsewhere in the league. That said, if he doesn't get any calls, look for him to either head overseas or join the Heat's affiliate in the G-League for the start of the 2018-19 campaign. In 58 games between the Bucks and Pelicans last year, Liggins averaged just 12.5 minutes.

Heat's DeAndre Liggins: Signs with Heat
Liggins signed a contract with the Heat on Sunday.
Considering Liggins is being signed this late in the preseason, it seems highly unlikely he's able to make enough of an impression to earn one of the final roster spots. If he does end up getting waived, Liggins could be a G-League candidate or he could potentially head overseas on a more lucrative deal. Liggins played a combined 58 games between the Pelicans and Bucks last season, averaging just 12.5 minutes per contest.

DeAndre Liggins: Waived by New Orleans
Liggins was waived by the Pelicans on Friday.
Last season, Liggins played 31 games for the Bucks before being waived. He subsequently signed two 10-day contracts with the Pelicans before inking a deal for the remainder of the season. In 27 appearances with New Orleans, he saw 9.0 minutes per game and averaged 1.6 points and 1.0 rebounds. Considering his lack of production and age (30), Pelicans brass ultimately decided to move on. It's possible Liggins earns a training camp deal elsewhere and ends up on a final roster, but it's unlikely he'll be fantasy relevant.

Pelicans' DeAndre Liggins: Slated for bench role Sunday
Liggins will return to a bench role for Sunday's game against the Celtics.
Liggins picked up the spot start Saturday against the Rockets with Rajon Rondo sitting out for rest, posting three points, three rebounds, one steal and one block across 20 minutes. However, as expected, Rondo will return to the starting lineup Sunday, so Liggins is slated for a bench role and will be off the fantasy radar once again.

Pelicans' DeAndre Liggins: Fizzles in Saturday's spot start
Liggins started at point guard for Rajon Rondo (rest) in Saturday's 107-101 loss to the Rockets and tallied three points (1-4 FG, 1-3 3Pt), three rebounds, one steal and one block across 20 minutes.
The second-year guard couldn't parlay his opportunity into much production, although he at least broke a three-game scoreless streak. Liggins has one double-digit point total overall in a season that he's split between the Bucks and Pelicans, and his minimal involvement and minutes leave him with little to no fantasy value.

Pelicans' DeAndre Liggins: Expected to start Saturday
Liggins, with Rajon Rondo (rest) out, is expected to start during Saturday's matchup against Houston, Will Guillory of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Liggins has seen mostly spot run lately, averaging 10.4 minutes across the past five contests. But, he should see extended minutes Saturday. In the nine contests that he's seen at least 20 minutes, the guard has posted 3.3 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.7 steals per game.

Pelicans' DeAndre Liggins: Another DNP-Coach's Decision

Liggins did not see the floor for the third time in the first four games following the All-Star break. He has appeared in only 10 tilts since joining the Pelicans in the second week of January, and Liggins can be avoided across all fantasy formats going forward.

Pelicans' DeAndre Liggins: Questionable to return Monday
Liggins is questionable to return to Monday's matchup against the Pistions with a left thigh contusion.
Liggins suffered the injury in the first half of Monday's game. If Liggins is unable to return, he should be considered questionable for Wednesday's matchup against the Lakers. Prior to suffering the injury, Liggins posted two points and one assist in six minutes.

Pelicans' DeAndre Liggins: Heading to bench Saturday
Liggins will come off the bench Saturday against the Nets, Jim Eichenfofer of the Pelicans' official site reports.
Rajon Rondo will get the start at point guard Saturday night, ending the veteran's brief two-game stint of coming off the bench, which head coach Alvin Gentry decided to do in order to "provide a spark" to the second unit. Since joining the Pelicans a month ago, Liggins has averaged 3.5 points, 1.7 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 0.7 assists and 0.3 blocks in 14 minutes per game through six contests.

Liggins will move into the starting lineup Wednesday against the Pacers, Will Guillory of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
In an effort to "provide a spark" to the second unit, coach Alvin Gentry will shift Rajon Rondo to the bench, while Liggins enters the starting five. Liggins will get the nod at shooting guard, while Jrue Holiday will slide back to his more natural point guard spot.

Pelicans' DeAndre Liggins: Signs two-year deal with Pelicans
Liggins signed a two-year contract with the Pelicans on Sunday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Liggins already served out two 10-day contracts with the Pelicans, which means it was time to either sign a long-term contract or be released. Luckily for him, the Pelicans value his perimeter defense and now he will likely be at the back end of the team's rotation for the remainder of the season.

Pelicans' DeAndre Liggins: Re-ups with Pelicans
Liggins signed a 10-day contract with the Pelicans on Saturday.
It appears Liggins will stick with the Pelicans for a little while longer, as the guard signed another 10-day deal with the team prior to Saturday's matchup with the Grizzlies. It would be unwise to expect much from Liggins in a Pelicans jersey, as he's seen action in just one game since joining New Orleans on a 10-day contract earlier in the month.

Pelicans' DeAndre Liggins: Signs 10-day contract with Pelicans
Liggins signed a 10-day contract with the Pelicans on Tuesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Liggins was waived by the Bucks over the weekend and now that he's cleared waivers, he'll join New Orleans on a 10-day deal. Look for him to immediately provide some much-needed depth on the wing for the Pelicans, who are currently without Tony Allen (leg) and Solomon Hill (hamstring). That said, barring another injury or two, Liggins still likely won't see enough minutes to be a relevant fantasy commodity. Most of Liggins' value to New Orleans will come on the defensive side of the ball and as a hustle player, not so much as an offensive contributor.
