Young wasn't efficient when it comes to his shooting, and while he still had a good game, his efforts were not enough to lift the Squadron into the next round of the playoffs. The former Oregon product ended the season with averages of 18.9 points and 5.8 assists per contest.

Young notched 24 points (9-19 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five assists, two rebounds and a steal across 34 minutes in Tuesday's 114-106 win over Iowa.
Young was the leading scorer for Birmingham, and while he didn't contribute too much in other categories, with perhaps the exception of passing, it was still a remarkable performance for the former Oregon standout. Young is averaging 19.2 points, 5.6 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game on the season.

Young was one of four starters to score in double digits for Birmingham, and he looked sharp on his return to action after missing the previous contest through illness. The former second-round pick has been one of the best players for the Squadron this season and is averaging 19.6 points per contest.

Joe Young: Double-double in defeat to RGV
Young tallied 16 points (6-15 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 12 assists, four rebounds and a steal across 35 minutes in Monday's 135-114 loss to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
Young had a season-high in assists as he put up a double-double Monday, but it wasn't enough to get anywhere near the Vipers on the day. He's making just 36.9 percent of his 6.2 three pointers per game this season, but he is shooting excellently from the free-throw line for Birmingham (90.2 percent).

Young led his team in assists and finished second in points Tuesday, but he needs to cut down on the six turnovers he had against the Spurs. He's averaging 5.5 assists compared to 1.6 turnovers and 1.6 steals per game in the G League this season.

Young was extremely efficient from the field and looked impressive in this game, though he didn't contribute too much in other categories. The former second-round pick in the 2015 Draft has been one of Birmingham's best players, though, and he heads to the All-Star break averaging 21.7 points per game.

Young was all over the court in this one, working as a defensive presence, as a scorer and as a playmaker. The fact that he missed all seven of his three-point shots is not a good sign, but he continues to produce even when he's struggling in terms of efficiency.

Young ended just one point away from tying Jared Harper as the team's leading scorer, but that shouldn't be surprising since he was already one of the team's most productive offensive forces both in the first half of the campaign and in the Vegas Showcase.

Joe Young: Dazzles with 40-point game
Young recorded 40 points (13-23 FG, 7-10 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight assists, three steals, two rebounds and a block across 37 minutes in Thursday's loss to Stockton.
The Squadron lost against the Kings for a second straight game, but this certainly wasn't Young's fault -- he delivered an impressive performance on both ends of the court while also racking up a game-high 40 points. Expect him to operate as one of the Squadron's best scorers almost on a game-to-game basis as long as he's healthy and doesn't get called up to the NBA.

Young co-led the team in scoring, but he also made his presence felt as a defensive asset with the third-highest tally in terms of rebounds, and as a playmaker with the third-highest assist tally as well.

Young is averaging 14.9 points per game this season, and while this game wasn't his best outing, he has delivered some good outings in the past. One area where he needs to improve is his accuracy, though, as he's made just 39.6 percent of his shots.
