Rakeem Christmas: Signs with Turkish club
Christmas signed a contract with Turkish club Galatasaray Odeabank on Thursday, Scott Agness of Vigilant Sports reports.
In Christmas' first full season with the Pacers, he played in just 29 games, posting averages of 2.0 points and 1.9 rebounds across 7.6 minutes. He was merely used as emergency depth in the frontcourt and didn't flash enough potential to give the Pacers a reason to keep him around. After being waived by Indiana at the start of July, Christmas failed to receive much interest elsewhere and will now head to Turkey to play for Galatasaray. He could attempt to find an NBA playoff contending team to join once his season overseas completes, though there's no guarantee he'd find a suitor.

Rakeem Christmas: Waived by Pacers
Christmas will be waived by the Pacers on Thursday, Scott Agness of Vigilant Sports reports.
Christmas spent his first two seasons with the Pacers and is coming off a 2016-17 campaign where he played in a career-high 29 games, while averaging 2.0 points and 1.9 rebounds across 7.6 minutes. However, with his salary set to guarantee on Thursday evening, the Pacers are set to let him walk, as he hasn't shown enough progress in his brief time with Indiana. He'll look to latch on elsewhere prior to training camp, but there's no guarantee he ends up on a regular-season roster.

Pacers' Rakeem Christmas: Dealing with sprained ankle
Christmas was held out of Saturday's summer league contest against the Magic because of a sprained left ankle, Pacers play-by-play announcer Scott Agness reports.
With the regular season still months away, Christmas isn't in danger of missing any significant action. However, there's a chance he sit out a few more summer league contests because of it, with his next opportunity to see the court on Sunday against the Hornets. Look for his status to be updated prior to Sunday's tipoff.

Pacers' Rakeem Christmas: Available to play Wednesday
Christmas (heel) is available for Wednesday's game versus the Mavericks.
Christmas was questionable for the contest due to a sore heel, but will ultimately be available to play. Christmas has seen his first action in the rotation during the previous three games, and saw a season high 20 minutes in Monday's win over the Rockets. It is unclear if the decision to put him in the rotation is matchup based or if Christmas will continue getting some run going forward.

Pacers' Rakeem Christmas: Questionable Wednesday with sore heel
Christmas is nursing a sore left heel and is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Spurs.
Christmas has been pressed into the rotation the last three games with Al Jefferson missing time while recovering from a dental procedure, but both backup centers will enter Wednesday with questionable tags. If neither is able to suit up, look for Kevin Seraphin to step in as the primary backup to starting center Myles Turner.
