Darrun Hilliard: Inks deal with CSKA Moscow
Hilliard finalized a one-year deal with CSKA Moscow, Yiannis Bouranis of talkbasket.net reports.
Hilliard will join the Russian squad for the 2019-20 season. In 34 games last year for Baskonia, Hilliard averaged 9.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 20.5 minutes. Until further notice, the former Spur and Piston doesn't appear to be on the NBA radar.

Darrun Hilliard: Signs with Spanish club
Hilliard signed a contract with Baskonia Vitori Gasteiz of Liga ACB on Monday, EuroHoops.net reports.
After two seasons with Detroit, Hilliard spent the 2017-18 campaign on a two-way deal with the Spurs. He wound up seeing action in just 14 total games at the NBA level, posting averages of 1.1 points across 6.8 minutes. While Hilliard was extended a qualifying offer from the Spurs this offseason, he'll instead head overseas to play with Baskonia, where he'll likely see more playing and could also be receiving a more lucrative contract. With a strong year internationally, Hilliard could boost his value and make a return to the NBA.

Spurs' Darrun Hilliard: Issued qualifying offer
Hilliard was extended a qualifying offer from the Spurs, making him a restricted free agent, Paul Garcia of Project Spurs reports.
Hilliard was on a two-way contract with the Spurs last season, so he only saw action in 14 games at the NBA level. Most of his campaign was spent with the team's G-League affiliate, where he averaged an impressive 20.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.1 steals across 36 games. Considering how well he looked in the minors, the Spurs are giving him a qualifying offer, which means they can match any offer he receives as a free agent. At this point, it's unclear if Hilliard would come back as a two-way player once again or if the Spurs would elevate him to a regular contract.

Darrun Hilliard: Scores 22 points in G League game
Hilliard added 22 points (7-11 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block during Friday's 114-115 killing of the visiting Big Horns.
This was the 19th game in which Hilliard has made it past the 20-point mark, as he also recorded a tally in every major statistical category. The 24-year-old from Villanova is a dynamic offensive player, as he currently sits in the top-10 for scoring in the G League with 21.2 points per game for Austin.

Spurs' Darrun Hilliard: Erupts for 31
Hilliard recorded 31 points (11-17 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five assists, one rebound and one steal during Wednesday's 134-123 loss at Texas.
In his first game in the G-League since Jan. 20, the third year player from Villanova picked up right were he left off and amassed the 31-point mark. Hilliard is the Austin Spurs' leading scorer this season with 21.8 points per game and he's proven that whenever he is with the team, he will contribute majorly.

Hilliard played five minutes and dished one assist in Saturday's 120-111 loss to the Jazz.
Two-way contract player Hilliard has now appeared in six of San Antonio's last seven games, averaging 1.3 points, 0.3 rebounds and 0.3 assists over 4.5 minutes per contest. He's providing emergency depth at the wing positions.

Spurs' Darrun Hilliard: Signs two-way deal with Spurs
Hilliard signed a two-way contract with the Spurs on Monday, Paul Garcia of Project Spurs reports.
Hilliard spent his first two seasons in Detroit and is coming off a 2016-17 campaign where he averaged just 3.3 points across 9.8 minutes in 39 games. In signing a two-way contract with the Spurs, Hilliard will develop with the team's G-League affiliate for the majority of the upcoming season, but can spend up to 45 days with the Spurs at the NBA level as well. That allows him to work closely with the organization, while providing some emergency relief if injuries occur. His status as a two-way player keeps him off the fantasy radar.

Darrun Hilliard: Waived by Clippers
Hilliard was waived by the Clippers on Thursday, Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Hilliard was dealt to the Clippers as part of the Chris Paul deal, but was merely an extra contract to make the financials work and will now head to the open free agent market. He'll be able to negotiate with teams starting on July 1, but Hilliard likely won't be much more that a depth option in the backcourt for potential suitors. In his second season with Detroit, Hilliard averaged just 9.8 minutes as a reserve.

Clippers' Darrun Hilliard: Traded to Clippers
Hilliard was traded to the Rockets on Wednesday and will be included in the package being sent to the Clippers for Chris Paul, Sam Amick of USA Today Sports reports.
In order to satisfy cap requirements and complete the trade, the Rockets have scrambled to acquire several players on non-guaranteed contracts for next season. Hilliard, who appeared in 39 games for Detroit in 2016-17, has until July 1 to be waived, or his contract for the 2017-18 season becomes guaranteed. The expectation is that the Clippers will move forth with waiving Hilliard, as well as a few other players, in short order.

Pistons' Darrun Hilliard: Fails to play in blowout loss Wednesday
Hilliard (coach's decision) didn't see the floor in a 115-98 loss to the Pacers on Wednesday.
Even with the Pacers holding a commanding 17-point lead heading into the fourth quarter, Hilliard still couldn't find a path to playing time, which illustrates his low standing on the team's depth chart. He's appeared in just two of the Pistons' games since Jan. 18.

Pistons' Darrun Hilliard: Back from D-League
Hilliard was recalled Thursday from the D-League's Grand Rapids Drive, Aaron McMann of MLive.com reports.
After occasionally seeing quality minutes at shooting guard, Hilliard has completely played himself out of the rotation and hasn't appeared consistently since late December. He'll return to Detroit Thursday to practice with the team in between games, but Hilliard will likely make his return to Grand Rapids shortly to continue to get more in-game experience.

It was initially expected that only rookies Henry Ellenson and Michael Gbinije would be assigned to Grand Rapids on Wednesday, but Hilliard, a second-year player, will join the duo in the D-League rather than dressing for the Pistons' game against the Pelicans. Hilliard has appeared in 26 games this season, but has fallen out of the rotation since early December.

Hilliard was recalled Tuesday from the D-League's Grand Rapids Drive, Rod Beard of The Detroit News reports.
Along with Henry Ellenson and Michael Gbinije, Hilliard was with the Drive for their last two games, where he combined for 46 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and steal during that span. He'll be recalled to the Pistons ahead of Wednesday's tilt with the Pelicans, but at best, he's the team's fourth option at shooting guard and likely won't see significant minutes in a close game.
