Chris Smith: Signs contract with Israeli team
Smith signed a contract Wednesday with Hapoel Galil Elyon of the Israeli National League, ESPN.com's Ian Begley reports.
Smith, the brother of NBA free agent J.R. Smith, last appeared in the league in 2013-14, playing two games for the Knicks. Considering that Smith will turn 29 on Oct. 13 and will now head to Israel's second-tier league, it seems unlikely that he'll make it back to the NBA again.
