Mirza Teletovic: Announces retirement
Teletovic announced his retirement from basketball Thursday, EuroHoops.net reports.
An undrafted free agent back in 2007, Teletovic got his NBA career started with the Nets and wound up spending six years in the league with stops in Phoenix and Milwaukee as well. The 6-foot-9 forward put together his best year with the Suns during the 2015-16 season, posting averages of 12.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 2.3 three-pointers. Teletovic also had a solid career overseas, becoming a two-time Liga ACB champion with Saski Baskonia in 2008 and 2010. He'll now call it a career and is considering presidential duties in the Bosnian Basketball Federation.

Teletovic (illness) was waived by Milwaukee on Saturday.
After playing in just 10 games this season, the Bucks have waived Teletovic. He's been sidelined due to knee surgery since Nov. 7 and he also has a pulonary emboli in both of his lungs. Teletovic averaged 7.1 points and 2.3 rebounds during the 2017-2018 season.

Bucks' Mirza Teletovic: Refutes reports of career being over
Teletovic, who has been sidelined since Nov. 7 due to left knee surgery and a pulonary emboli in both of his lungs, refuted reports Wednesday that the latter condition will spell an end of his playing career, Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
The lung issues aren't anything new for the veteran forward, who was previously sidelined for an extended period during the 2014-15 season with multiple blood clots. Though the health of his knee doesn't seem to be a concern at this juncture, the Bucks have no timetable for Teletovic to return to the court as a result of the pulonary emboli. Teletovic enters the final season of his three-year, $30 million contract with the Bucks in 2018-19.

Bucks' Mirza Teletovic: Out indefinitely with lung condition
Teletovic is out indefinitely as a result of pulmonary emboli in both lungs.
Teletovic was nearing a return from arthroscopic surgery to repair cartilage in his left knee, but after experiencing unusual fatigue earlier this week, the lung condition was also found. He's expected to have 10 days off for rest and will then begin a supervised rehab program to help combat the illness. Look for additional updates on Teletovic as he makes his way through the recovery process, though no timetable has been released at this point.

Bucks' Mirza Teletovic: Out four weeks following knee surgery
Teletovic underwent surgery to repair cartilage in his left knee and is expected to be out four weeks.
Teletovic has missed the last six contests with the knee injury, and now he'll be set to miss about a month after requiring surgery. The timetable leaves Teletovic with a return date around mid-to-late December, and his absence will leave Milwaukee light on frontcourt depth with John Henson now reportedly battling an eye injury. Rookie D.J. Wilson could be called upon to play extended minutes while the frontcourt is plagued with injuries.

Bucks' Mirza Teletovic: Ruled out Monday
Teletovic (knee) won't play Monday against the Wizards, Zach Rosen of the Wizards' official site reports.
Teletovic recently resumed working out, but the sore left knee will keep him sidelined for a sixth consecutive contest Monday. With an exceptional 46.7 percent mark from 3-point land on the season, Teletovic should have a spot waiting for him in the Bucks' rotation once he's healthy, but it's unclear if he's on track to return at any point during the team's three-game week.

Bucks' Mirza Teletovic: Out Saturday
Teletovic (knee) will not play in Saturday's game against the Mavericks, Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
The absence will mark Teltovic's fifth consecutive game missed due to a knee issue. However, the sharp shooting big man did resume on-court workouts during the week, so he appears to be nearing a return.

Bucks' Mirza Teletovic: To resume on-court work Wednesday
Teletovic (knee) is scheduled to resume on-court workouts Wednesday, Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
With that updated timetable, Teletovic will sit out Monday's game against the Grizzlies and also seems unlikely to play on Wednesday against the Pistons. That would make a realistic option for a return coming this weekend against the Mavericks, though more information should be provided once he's officially taking part in on-court work as expected.

Bucks' Mirza Teletovic: Ruled out Friday
Teletovic (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Spurs and is expected to miss multiple games, Matt Velazquez of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Knee soreness has lingered for Teletovic for most of the season, so he'll now likely get some extended time off to treat it before his knee gets any worse. In his absence, rookie D.J. Wilson, who has only appeared in three game so far this season, is expected to get some added run off the bench at power forward.

Bucks' Mirza Teletovic: Doubtful against Spurs
Teletovic continues to deal with soreness in his left knee and is considered doubtful to play in Friday's game against the Spurs.
Teletovic has carried an injury designation for the same ailment over the past week, but he's managed to play through the soreness and actually hasn't missed a game yet this season. That trend seems like it will end Friday, but there's still an outside chance that he'll play since he's done it before.

Bucks' Mirza Teletovic: Scores season-high 16 points
Teletovic tallied 16 points (6-11 FG, 4-8 3Pt) and two rebounds across 17 minutes during a 124-119 loss to the Cavaliers on Tuesday.
Teletovic's 16 points marked a season high as he was the only bench player to score more than five points in the loss. During his career, he has tended to be an inconsistent performer, and that trend has continued this season. His previous two games this season in which he scored in double figures were followed up by games in which he totaled three points and zero points.

Bucks' Mirza Teletovic: Questionable against Cleveland
Teletovic is dealing with left knee soreness and is questionable Tuesday against the Cavaliers.
This is the first time Teletovic's knee soreness has been disclosed. He's averaging a career-high three-point percentage (45.9) through nine games this season. If Teletovic is unable to play Tuesday, expect Thon Maker and rookie D.J. Wilson to see a slightly more expanded role than normal.

Bucks' Mirza Teletovic: Nails four three-pointers Friday
Teletovic scored 14 points (5-7 FG, 4-6 3Pt) while adding one rebound and one assist across nine minutes in Friday's 107-103 victory over the Pistons.
It took the sharpshooter just nine minutes to connect on four threes and attempt six of them. Teletovic has always had a knack for being a one-dimensional sharpshooter, and his stat line Friday night emphasized that. While he won't have much fantasy appeal with the limited minutes he will see, he has the ability to come off the bench on any given night and drop double-digit point totals because of his impressive outside scoring ability.

Bucks' Mirza Teletovic: To be held out Friday vs. Bulls
Teletovic (undisclosed) will sit out Friday's preseason matchup with the Bulls, Chuck Swirsky of Bulls.com reports.
It's unclear exactly why Teletovic is being held out, but it's likely just for rest purposes in order to limit his workload during the preseason. With Teletovic sidelined, look for rookie D.J. Wilson to potentially pick up some more minutes in the frontcourt.

Bucks' Mirza Teletovic: Catches fire from beyond the arc Thursday
Teletovic finished with 15 points (5-8 FG, 5-8 3Pt), three rebounds, one steal and one block across 27 minutes during Thursday's 104-89 loss to the Pacers.
Thursday marked Teletovic's first double-digit scoring outing since March 22 against the Kings, where he knocked down three triples and totaled 13 points. He's seen his playing time rise and fall throughout various points of the season, as coach Jason Kidd attempted to find a rotation that clicked, often taking a back seat to reserve forward Michael Beasley. For that reason, those who drafted Teletovic have likely been disappointed, as he's averaging 6.4 points on 15.8 minutes per game this season compared to 12.2 points on 21.3 minutes per game last season. While he's a solid three-point shooter, knocking down 34.3 percent of his shots from deep, his role on the Bucks likely doesn't warrant ownership, even with the occasional breakout game.
