Pacers' Henry Sims: Posts 21 points off bench in win
Sims posted 21 points (7-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 5-6 FT), four rebounds and one assist across 22 minutes during the Pacers' 116-79 win over the Nets in a Las Vegas Summer League contest Friday.
The big man last saw regular-season NBA action back in the 2015-16 campaign with Nets, and he's now trying to revive his career by securing a spot in the Pacers' frontcourt rotation. The Georgetown product played in Italy last season and was averaging just 12.5 minutes coming into Friday's contest, but his effort in the blowout win may have been enough to garner him a training camp invite.

Henry Sims: Let go by Jazz
Sims was waived Thursday by the Jazz, Jody Genessy of Deseret News reports.
Sims saw limited action throughout the preseason, playing in just three games and averaging 2.0 points and 1.3 rebounds over 6.3 minutes. He'll have a chance to latch on with another team before the regular season begins, but it's more likely that Sims will end up in the D-League or overseas.

Jazz's Henry Sims: Signs contract with Jazz
Sims signed a training camp contract with the Jazz on Thursday.
After getting cut by the Suns in training camp last season, Sims languished in the D-League before landing a pair of 10-day contracts with the Nets in March and then signing with the team for the rest of the season. In his 14 games with the Nets, Sims averaged 6.5 points (on 42.9% shooting from the field), 5.1 rebounds and 1.0 block over 18.8 minutes per game. His deal with the Jazz is likely non-guaranteed, so Sims' chances of beating out Jeff Withey for a roster spot out of training camp aren't strong. Look for the veteran big man out of Georgetown to head back to the D-League in the event he gets cut by the Jazz.

Henry Sims: Reaches summer league deal with Nets
Sims agreed to a summer league deal with the Nets on Sunday, Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders reports.
Sims finished the season with the Nets and saw some more extended run over the final two weeks while Brook Lopez and Thaddeus Young were shut down for rest, averaging 6.5 points and 5.1 rebounds across 18.8 minutes per game in his 14 total appearances. While he helped get the Nets to the end of a listless season, the team wasn't willing to commit to him for 2016-17, so he'll have to prove himself in summer league. If Sims fares well in the exhibitions, he could earn an invite to the training camp, but may again face another uphill battle toward earning a roster spot.

Nets' Henry Sims: Moving to bench
Sims will move to the bench for Wednesday's game against the Wizards, David Kharpertian of YES Network reports.
With Bojan Bogdanovic returning from a two-game absence, the Nets will go with a bit of an unconventional lineup. Shane Larkin will remain the starting point guard, but coach Lionel Hollins will go with all three of Wayne Ellington, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, and Bogdanovic at shooting guard, small forward and power forward, respectively. Sims will move to the bench, while Thomas Robinson shifts up to the center spot. Of course, both Brook Lopez and Thaddeus Young have been shut down for the season to rest.

Nets' Henry Sims: Signs contract for rest of season
Sims signed a contract for the rest of the season with the Nets on Wednesday.
Sims first joined the Nets on a 10-day contract on March 17, but after his second 10-day deal expired, the team elected to keep him in the fold for the remainder of the season. Coach Tony Brown recently ruled out Brook Lopez and Thaddeus Young for rest for the team's final handful of games, which has resulted in Sims starting two of the last three contests. He figures to remain with the top unit for the final final games of the campaign, which could allow Sims to see around 30 minutes most nights. Through nine appearances with the Nets, Sims is averaging six points and 4.4 rebounds over 17.1 minutes.

Nets' Henry Sims: Will start Sunday
Sims is in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Pelicans, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
Sims, as well as Thomas Robinson are expected to start Sunday's game, as the Nets have shut down Brook Lopez (rest) and Thaddeus Young (rest) for the rest of the season. Sims and Robinson are likely the favorites to start the last six games of the year, so look for both to see elevated roles moving forward. Sims struggled in his last start against the Cavaliers on Thursday, notching just four points (0-3 FG, 4-6 FT) and four rebounds over 19 minutes, so he has yet to show himself as a quality fantasy player. Either way, with his role expected to increase, he's a player to keep an eye on.

Sims will get the start against the Cavaliers on Thursday night, Brian Lewis of New York Post reports.
Sims will start in place of Brook Lopez, who is taking the night off in order to rest. It will be his first start with the Nets, who he signed with just over two weeks ago. He may split time with Thomas Robinson, who returns to the bench after starting in Tuesday's loss to the Magic for the resting Thaddeus Young.

Sims has played in four games since signing his first 10-day contract with the Nets, averaging 4.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 0.3 assists over 13 minutes. He'll continue to serve as a depth option in the frontcourt, although his fantasy value will likely remain low until he can work his way up higher on the depth chart. Following the conclusion of his second 10-day contract, the Nets will either have to release Sims or sign him for the rest of the season.

Sims plans to sign a 10-day contract with the Nets on Tuesday, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.
Sims hasn't been on an NBA roster all season after getting cut by the Suns out of training camp. The 25-year-old has instead spent all of 2015-16 with the D-League's Grand Rapids Drive, appearing in 40 games and averaging 15.7 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.2 steals, 0.9 blocks, and 0.9 assists over 30 minutes. Sims will add some frontcourt depth to a Nets bench lacking in talent, and could push the likes of Chris McCullough, Willie Reed, and Thomas Robinson for court time.

Henry Sims: Released over weekend
Sims was waived by the Suns over the weekend, Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic reports.
Though the Suns already had trimmed their roster down to 15 men, the team's brass decided that it wasn't worthwhile to keep Sims around, despite Tyson Chandler and Alex Len being the Suns' only true centers. The 25-year-old, who started 57 games with the 76ers over the past two seasons, could service with another team in 2015-16 when injuries inevitably mount.

Suns center Henry Sims not logging many minutes in preseason
Henry Sims has appeared in three preseason games for the Suns this year, averaging just 1.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in six minutes per game.
Sims signed a training camp deal with the Suns in August, but hasn't made much of an impact as he has been unable to find time on the court during the preseason. Given that Phoenix has a strong hold on the center position with both Tyson Chandler and Alex Len, there is a good chance that Sims is cut before the start of the regular season barring an unforeseen circumstance.
