Spurs' Mason Plumlee: Inks pact with San Antonio
Plumlee (groin) signed a 10-day contract with the Spurs on Tuesday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Plumlee underwent surgery in late December to address a right groin injury before being traded from Charlotte to Oklahoma City in early February. However, the veteran big man was waived shortly thereafter. It's unclear whether Plumlee will be cleared to suit up immediately, though he can be considered questionable for Thursday's game against the Suns. Over 14 regular-season appearances (two starts) with the Hornets in 2025-26, he averaged 1.9 points and 2.9 rebounds in 8.9 minutes per contest.

Mason Plumlee: Waived by Thunder
The Thunder acquired Plumlee (groin) in a three-team trade with Charlotte and Chicago on Wednesday, and he was immediately waived, Jake Fischer of BleacherReport.com reports. Coby White and Mike Conley were sent to Charlotte, with Ousmane Dieng landing with the Bulls.
Plumlee was used sparingly by Charlotte across 14 appearances before being sidelined by a groin surgery. He's scheduled to be re-evaluated after the All-Star break, and he'll likely draw some interest from contending teams in need of frontcourt depth.

Plumlee had missed four consecutive games with a strained right groin before going under the knife. The veteran center will be sidelined until at least mid-February. While he's sidelined, PJ Hall will likely step into the third-string center role behind Ryan Kalkbrenner (elbow) and Moussa Diabate.

Hornets' Mason Plumlee: Starting Monday
Plumlee is in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Cavaliers.
The veteran center is getting the start in place of the injured Ryan Kalkbrenner (elbow). Plumlee logged 23 minutes in his lone start of the season during the Nov. 23 loss in Atlanta, so a rise in streaming appeal should be expected Monday.

Hornets' Mason Plumlee: Plays 22 minutes in loss
Plumlee provided four points (1-2 FG, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one steal in 22 minutes during Sunday's 115-106 loss to the Nuggets.
Plumlee saw extended minutes Sunday due to the absence of Moussa Diabate (knee) and did a fine job backing up rookie Ryan Kalkbrenner. If Diabate returns for the Hornets' next game Friday against Chicago, Plumlee will revert to the third-string center and may not even see the court.
