Ian Clark: Headed to China
Clark signed a contract with the Xinjiang Flying Tigers of the Chinese CBA, Emiliano Carchia of Sportando rpeorts.
Clark just played in his sixth NBA season overall and his second in New Orleans, appearing in 60 games and averaging 6.7 points while shooting 32.7 percent from behind the arc. Clark seemingly did not develop enough interest around the league and now will head overseas for the first time in his professional career.

Pelicans' Ian Clark: New personal best in threes
Clark mustered 31 points (11-21 FG, 7-15 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks across 36 minutes in the Pelicans' 133-129 win over the Kings on Sunday.
Clark paced all scorers on the night while draining a career-best seven three-pointers. The veteran guard saw an expanded role due to several key absences, including those of Anthony Davis (back), Julius Randle (rest) and Frank Jackson (concussion). Clark has been a surprise late-season fantasy asset, averaging an outstanding 24.0 points (on 48.2 percent shooting, including 41.2 percent from distance), 4.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.0 block across three April contests. He should continue seeing run with the starting five over the last two games of the regular season.

Pelicans' Ian Clark: Excellent in spot start
Clark supplied 24 points (9-17 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block across 40 minutes in the Pelicans' 133-126 overtime loss to the Suns on Friday.
Clark drew another start at shooting guard and parlayed it into his third straight double-digit scoring effort. The fifth-year guard was much more efficient than he'd been Wednesday against the Hornets, with his 57.1 percent success rate from three-point range particularly standing out. Clark has proven capable of solid production when given the minutes this season, and he could be in for extended run over the final two games of the campaign as well.

Pelicans' Ian Clark: Offensively productive Wednesday
Clark totaled 17 points (7-18 FG, 3-12 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 32 minutes during Wednesday's 115-109 loss to Charlotte.
Clark played at least 31 minutes for the third straight game Wednesday, finishing with 17 points, albeit on inefficient shooting. In fact, he has shot less than 39 percent from the field in four consecutive games, negatively impacting the field-goal percentage of anyone that has streamed him in. He should continue to play big minutes with the Pelicans having nothing to play for but can't really be trusted for anything other than decent points on high volume shooting.

Pelicans' Ian Clark: Disappoints in start
Clark played 31 minutes and finished with 11 points (5-15 FG, 1-6 3Pt), three assists and two rebounds Sunday in the Pelicans' 130-102 loss to the Lakers.
With Frank Jackson (concussion) sidelined, Clark drew his second straight start at shooting guard and was again undone by poor shooting. He's converted only 7-of-26 shots from the field during the back-to-back starts and will likely see his playing time drop sharply if Jackson is able to make it back for Wednesday's game against the Hornets.

Pelicans' Ian Clark: Starting at shooting guard
Clark will start at shooting guard Thursday against the Kings, Andrew Lopez of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
With Frank Jackson (concussion) out, Clark will make his first start of the year. When seeing at least 24 minutes, Clark is averaging 14.2 points, 3.0 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 27.7 minutes.

Clark totaled 17 points (7-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt), five rebounds, and four assists in 28 minutes during Wednesday's 119-96 loss to the Magic.
Clark reached double figures in scoring for the sixth time in the last seven games, and he's also averaging 3.0 assists during that same stretch. While he's not reliable enough for standard leagues, Clark is proving himself to be a decent cheap option in daily formats while Jrue Holiday (abdomen) and E'Twaun Moore (quadriceps) are held out, which could continue to happen for the final eight matchups of 2018-19.

Clark chipped in 11 points (5-15 FG, 1-5 3Pt), five assists, three rebounds, and one steal in 27 minutes during Friday's 127-104 loss to the Raptors.
Clark matched his season high in assists while appearing in his second game across the first five March matchups. The absences of Jrue Holiday (abdomen) and E'Twaun Moore (quadriceps) almost certainly played a part in Clark earning this many minutes. Nevertheless, Holiday and Moore are both expected to miss at least another couple games, which could force Clark into regular rotation minutes in the short-term.

Clark totaled 15 points (6-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt), one rebound, and one assist in 14 minutes during Saturday's 113-108 loss to the Spurs.
Clark matched his season high in scoring and reached double figures for the second time in the last three games. The 27-year-old guard had scored 10 points or more only three times this season prior to this recent stretch, all of which took place during his first nine appearances. Those considering Clark as a dart throw in daily formats for Monday's matchup with the Pacers might be wise to keep track of the status of Elfrid Payton (ankle).

Pelicans' Ian Clark: Scores season-high 15 points
Clark erupted for 15 points (6-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt) and added three rebounds across 18 minutes off the bench Tuesday in the Pelicans' 121-116 win over the Rockets.
The banged-up Pelicans only dressed 10 players for the contest, so Clark was plugged into the rotation out of necessity after playing in only 11 of the team's 27 games since the beginning of December. While the reserve guard provided the second unit with a nice lift here, it's unlikely to translate to many additional opportunities for Clark. The Pelicans will get E'Twaun Moore (rest) back for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets and could return Julius Randle (ankle) and Elfrid Payton (ankle) to action as well.

Pelicans' Ian Clark: Kept out of rotation
Clark (coach's decision) didn't leave the bench Monday in the Pelicans' 105-85 win over the Grizzlies.
Despite the Pelicans' 20-point margin of victory, coach Alvin Gentry didn't delve into his bench much in this one. Only 10 players saw action and two played fewer than 10 minutes, leaving no time left over for Clark. The 27-year-old has failed to see the floor in five of the Pelicans' last six contests.

Clark finished with zero points (0-5 FG, 0-4 3Pt), two rebounds, and two assists in 17 minutes during Monday's 113-100 loss to the Celtics.
Clark hadn't played in three of the last four games, the exception being a four-minute stint during garbage time in last Wednesday's matchup with the Mavericks. Clark averaged 15.8 minutes during November, but prior to Monday the last time he saw at least 15 minutes was back on Nov. 23. E'Twaun Moore (lower leg) missed Monday's loss after previously being listed as probable, and if Moore is able to rejoin the lineup for Wednesday's meeting with the Thunder there's no guarantee Clark will even see the court.
