Jackson, who signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Lakers over summer, averaged 6.5 points, 3.3 assists and 2.5 steals across six preseason games. He should join the team's G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers.

Lakers' Demetrius Jackson: Signs Exhibit 10 deal with Lakers
Jackson has agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Lakers, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
The former 45th overall pick in the 2016 Draft, Jackson has spent time on three NBA teams -- Boston, Houston and Philadelphia. Last season, he got most of his run with the 76ers' G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats, averaging 18.9 points on 15.5 shots, 7.4 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.4 steals. Jackson also appeared in five summer league games this season with the Trail Blazers, where he posted 6.2 points on 5.2 shots, 1.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.0 steal in 16.5 minutes. If he fails to make the Lakers' final roster, he'll likely spend most of the upcoming season in the G League.

Jackson finished with a career high in scoring while recording season highs in rebounds and minutes. Jackson has appeared in only five games thus far this season, and the main reason he earned a season high minute total in this one likely had more to do with the lopsided score than anything else.

Jackson appeared in 15 NBA games between Houston and Philadelphia last season, seeing most of his run in the G-League. With both teams' respective affiliates, the Notre Dame product averaged 14.8 points, 4.4 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 28.8 minutes. In signing a two-way contract, he'll be allowed to spend up to 45 days at the NBA level, putting him in a similar situation to last season.

Jackson had 11 points (5-13 FG, 1-6 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists in 27 minutes during Sunday's 82-73 summer league loss to the Grizzlies.
Jackson started at point-guard, playing a team-high 27 minutes. Despite the playing time, he only managed 11 points on some poor shooting with very little else. He looks set to once again play in the G-League this season barring any miracles.

Though Jackson struggled from the field, he was able to get to the line and execute, as well as get his teammates involved. He appeared in 26 G-League games last season, averaging 14.8 points, 4.3 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.2 steals. It seems likely he'll retain that role moving forward.

The former Notre Dame guard shot the ball very poorly Sunday, shooting only 26.7 percent from the floor but was still able to somehow muster his first double-double this season. Currently, Jackson is averaging 13.9 points and 4.2 assists for the 87ers.

Jackson signed a two-way contract with the 76ers on Monday, Shams Charania of The Vertical reports.
Jackson began the year on a two-way contract with the Rockets, but his deal was terminated earlier this month, and he recently completed a separate, 10-day contract with the team. The Sixers will now bring in the former Notre Dame star on a two-way deal of their own, and he'll take the roster spot of James Michael McAdoo, who was released Monday afternoon. Jackson appeared in 12 games for the Rockets, logging 63 total minutes, most of which came in garbage time situations.

Jackson had his two-way contract terminated by the Rockets on Saturday, but he will sign a 10-day deal and play in the G-League during that stretch, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Jackson has played just 63 minutes for the Rockets this season across 12 games. Despite his two-way deal being terminated and signing a 10-day deal, Feigen doesn't believe that Jackson is "in [the] team's plans", so it wouldn't be surprising if he ultimately gets let go.
