Bairstow dislocated his shoulder on Sunday and is day-to-day.
Fortunately, the dislocated shoulder popped back in itself before requiring medical treatment. The Austrailian's scans didn't show any other major structural damage.

Cameron Bairstow: Heading to Australia on one-year contract
Bairstow signed a one-year contract Monday with Brisbane of Australia's National Basketball League, NBL.com reports.
Bairstow, who is suiting up for the Australian national team in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, spent two uneventful seasons in the NBA with the Bulls after being selected in the second round of the 2014 NBA Draft. He appeared in just 36 total games with the Bulls while averaging 4.6 minutes per contest, as the team's ample frontcourt depth along with recurring back issues prevented him from landing a rotation role. The Bulls subsequently dealt him to the Pistons in June, but he was waived less than a month later when the Pistons needed to create roster room. Bairstow's contract with Brisbane includes an option for a second season, so barring a resurgence in interest from NBA teams, he could remain in Australia for multiple years.

Cameron Bairstow: Gets waived Sunday
Bairstow was waived Sunday by the Pistons, Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Needing to clear cap space for Boban Marjanovic, who officially signed a three-year, $21 million contract Sunday, the Pistons facilitated the deal by waiving Bairstow and Joel Anthony and renouncing their rights to free agent Steve Blake. After averaging just 1.2 points and 1.0 rebound in 36 games over his first two seasons in the league, Bairstow didn't project to see much action with the Pistons had he remained on the roster.

Former Bulls forward Cameron Bairstow is acquired by the Pistons in exchange for point guard Spencer Dinwiddie. Bairstow averaged 1.9 points and 1.6 rebounds with 5.7 minutes for Chicago.

Bairstow isn't among the eight players listed as available for the season finale, and given that he's not a candidate to receive rest due to the dearth of playing time he's received lately, it's fair to assume that he's suffered a setback with his ailing back. The injury has limited him to just 18 appearances on the season, and with only 36 appearances under his belt for his first two seasons in the league, Bairstow may not be able to stick in the NBA much longer.

Bairstow continues to deal with a lower back injury and it will force him to miss a fourth straight game Friday. Even when healthy, Bairstow is not part of the Bulls' regular rotation, as he's averaging just 1.9 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.3 assists over just six minutes per game. His next opportunity to return will be Monday versus the Raptors.
