Jefferson was waived by the 76ers on Saturday, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Jefferson has been waived a day after signing, suggesting the organization is interested in bringing him into the G-League. He'll look to play well enough to get another chance in the NBA. He hasn't played NBA regular-season minutes since the 2015-16 campaign.

Jefferson was waived Thursday by the Cavaliers, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
With the Cavaliers officially completing their preseason slate, they've started trim down their roster, with Jefferson, Markel Brown and Jonathan Holmes all getting the axe. Jefferson could end up landing with the Cavs' D-League affiliate, the Canton Charge.

Cavaliers' Cory Jefferson: Inks training camp deal with Cleveland
Jefferson agreed Wednesday on a training camp contract with the Cavaliers, international basketball writer David Pick reports.
Jefferson was able to crack the Suns' 15-man roster on a training camp invite last season, but he'll be hard pressed to do the same with the defending champs. He lasted only eight games with Phoenix in 2015-16, averaging 2.8 points and 2.0 rebounds in 6.3 minutes per contest before getting waived in January.

Jefferson signed a 10-day contract with the Suns on Wednesday, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.
The Suns had an open spot available on their roster and have three forwards (Markieff Morris, Jon Leuer, and Mirza Teletovic) dealing with injuries, so it makes sense for them to bring Jefferson in as emergency depth. The 25-year-old previously appeared in six games with the Suns and averaged two points and 1.7 boards over 4.7 minutes per contest before he was waived two weeks ago.

The second-year forward out of Baylor played for Brooklyn last season. He averaged 3.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 0.4 blocks in 10.6 minutes per game. Jefferson likely won't crack the front court rotation early on, but he'll have the opportunity to earn minutes as the season progresses.

Jefferson netted two points (1-3 FG) and pulled down five rebounds in nine minutes for Phoenix in their 99-87 win over the Mavericks.
The second year power forward saw the most minutes he's seen all preseason Wednesday night. However, it was only nine minutes and when the regular season begins there won't likely be too many games that he'll see double-digit minutes. He is currently coming behind Markieff Morris, Mirza Teletovic, and Jon Leuer at power forward, and small forwards PJ Tucker and TJ Warren could steal Jefferson's minutes as well.
