  • James Michael McAdoo: Heading to Italy

McAdoo signed a contract Sunday with Auxilium Pallacanestro Torino of the Italian Serie A, George Efkarpides of EuroHoops.net reports.

McAdoo, a North Carolina product, will unite with another Tar Heels legend in Italy in former NBA coach Larry Brown, who was named the club's new bench boss in June. The 25-year-old forward spent last season in Philadelphia, logging four appearances at the NBA level and spending the majority of his time with the G League's Delaware 87ers.

McAdoo did not partake in Tuesday's 104-89 win over Santa Cruz due to a knee injury.

McAdoo has been sidelined since Feb. 3 due to his knee injury and it's unknown just how much long he will be held out of action. The 6-9 forward is averaging 10.2 points and 6.4 rebounds for Agua Caliente during his second season in the G-League.

  • James Michael McAdoo: Released by Philly

McAdoo was released by the Sixers on Monday, Shams Charania of The Vertical reports.

The Sixers reached an agreement with Demetrius Jackson on Monday, so they'll part ways with McAdoo in order to free up a roster spot. The former North Carolina standout, who spent his first three NBA seasons with Golden State, appeared in only three games for the Sixers this season while spending time in the G-League.

  • 76ers' James Michael McAdoo: Assigned to G-League

McAdoo was assigned to the G-League on Wednesday, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

McAdoo made his season debut on Saturday against the Warriors, posting five points (1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), and one turnover across seven minutes. That said, he's not a part of the regular rotation and will be reassigned in order to get him as many minutes as possible to further his development. McAdoo is a two-way player and should spend the majority of season in the G-League.

  • 76ers' James Michael McAdoo: Active Saturday

McAdoo is active for Saturday's game against the Raptors, Brian Seltzer of Sixers.com reports.

With Joel Embiid out for rest, McAdoo will suit up for the first time this season. While he's active, he likely won't see too much action as he's behind the likes of Ben Simmons, Dario Saric, Robert Covington and Justin Anderson on the depth chart.

  • 76ers' James McAdoo: Cleared to play Monday

McAdoo (hamstring) will play Monday against Boston, Jessica Camerato of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

McAdoo missed the team's last preseason game Friday against Boston due to a hamstring issue, but the injury was never considered overly serious. Expect the North Carolina product to return to a limited bench role, as was the case when he was last active Wednesday against Memphis.

  • 76ers' James McAdoo: Expects to return Monday vs. Celtics

McAdoo (hamstring) was limited during Sunday's practice, but is considered probable for Monday's preseason tilt with the Celtics, Jessica Camerato of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

McAdoo was held out of the team's preseason contest Friday due to a tight hamstring, though the injury was never considered serious, making it unsurprising that he should be back in the lineup Monday. Looking forward to the regular season, McAdoo is on a two-way contract and will spend the majority of the campaign in the G-League, so he'll remain off the fantasy radar when at full strength.

  • 76ers' James McAdoo: Questionable Friday

McAdoo is questionable for Friday's preseason game against the Celtics due to left hamstring tightness, Jessica Camerato of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

It's unclear when McAdoo suffered the injury. That said, it doesn't seem to be too serious considering there's been no mention of it prior to Friday's injury report.

  • 76ers' James McAdoo: Inks two-way deal with Philadelphia

McAdoo signed a two-way contract with the 76ers on Wednesday, Brian Seltzer of Sixers.com reports.

After winning his second NBA title in three seasons with the Warriors earlier in the summer, McAdoo wasn't extended a qualifying offer and became a free agent. The forward wasn't able to receive a guaranteed offer from any team, so he'll ultimately head to Philadelphia, where he'll likely function as a deep reserve for the NBA team. If the 76ers are able to maintain stronger health in the frontcourt this season, McAdoo could end up spending most of the campaign with Philadelphia's D-League affiliate, the Delaware 87ers.

  • Warriors' James McAdoo: Set to become unrestricted free agent

McAdoo wasn't extended a qualifying offer by the Warriors and will become an unrestricted free agent, Chris Haynes of ESPN.com reports.

McAdoo finished his third season with the Warriors playing in a career-high 52 games, but averaged just 2.8 points and 1.7 rebounds across 8.8 minutes per contest. While his value could certainly increase with a change of scenery, McAdoo is still unlikely to pick up a huge role no matter where he lands, which should keep him off the radar in the majority of leagues. Still, it's worth it to keep an eye on where he lands to determine what kind of role he'll have.

  • Warriors' James McAdoo: Swipes career-high four steals as starter in regular season finale

McAdoo managed eight points (3-6 FG, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, four steals, two blocks, and one assist in 28 minutes during Wednesday's 109-94 win over the Lakers.

McAdoo recorded a career high in steals while starting in place of Draymond Green (rest), and the former Tar Heel did a bit of everything else as well. McAdoo's role is likely to be more limited during the playoffs, but his 52 regular season appearances in 2016-17 is just four less than he had in the last two years combined.

  • Warriors' James McAdoo: Will join starting five Wednesday

McAdoo will start Wednesday's game against the Suns, Anthony Slater of Bay Area News Group reports.

Draymond Green is getting the night off for rest, so the Warriors are opting to give McAdoo a shot with the starting five. Wednesday will mark McAdoo's first start of the season and considering he's averaged just 8.3 minutes per game this year, he should see a substantial bump in playing time while working with the top unit.

  • Warriors' James McAdoo: Available to play Wednesday

McAdoo (head) is active and available to play in Wednesday's game against the Spurs.

McAdoo left Tuesday's game against the Rockets after a collision with Trevor Ariza, which opened a cut above his left eye brow. The injury was never expected to keep him on the sidelines and he's now officially been given the go ahead to make his return, so look for him to take on his usual role off the bench. McAdoo hasn't logged double-digit minutes since Mar. 11, so he'll likely be restricted to just a few spot minutes, which keeps him off the fantasy radar.

  • Warriors' James McAdoo: Probable Wednesday vs. Spurs

McAdoo (head) is considered probable for Wednesday's game against the Spurs, Anthony Slater of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

McAdoo was forced to exit Tuesday's win over the Rockets after he suffered a cut above his left eye brow that required seven stitches. Fortunately for McAdoo he didn't suffer a concussion, which would have likely held him out for multiple games. His injury isn't expected to inhibit his ability to play, and it won't be surprising to see him in his normal role if he plays Wednesday.

  • Warriors' James McAdoo: Suffers facial injury Tuesday

McAdoo will not return to Tuesday's game after receiving seven stitches above his left eye brow.

The injury occurred when Rockets' forward Trevor Ariza accidentally landed on McAdoo. Along with receiving stitches, the 24-year-old was evaluated for a concussion, a test he ultimately passed. He will finish his night with an assist and a rebound in four minutes played. His status for Wednesday's matchup against the Spurs is unknown at this time.

  • Warriors' James McAdoo: Leaves Tuesday's game with head injury

McAdoo, who was forced from Tuesday's game against the Rockets with a laceration to his head, is currently receiving stitches and will be evaluated for a concussion, Marc J. Spears of ESPN.com reports.

Rockets' forward Trevor Ariza appeared to accidentally land on McAdoo after a collision, which opened a laceration to his head. McAdoo is currently receiving stitches and will be evaluated for a concussion, so it doesn't seem likely he'll be able to return to Tuesday's game. Look for an additional update to be provided in the near future, which should clarify whether or not he could miss time with any concussion-like symptoms.

  • Warriors' James McAdoo: Receives season-high minutes Saturday

McAdoo scored four points (2-7 FG, 0-2 FT) along with five rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocked shots over a season-high 23 minutes in Saturday's 107-85 loss to San Antonio.

Golden State head coach Steve Kerr's decision to sit four of his rotation regulars provided ample opportunity for the B-teamers like McAdoo. He came off the bench, but had more of an impact than starter Kevon Looney. Over the past month, McAdoo has emerged as the third power forward ahead of Looney. However, when Kerr is dressing his regulars, the playing time is minimal and not particularly helpful for fantasy owners.

  • Warriors' James McAdoo: Playing time dropping off

McAdoo finished with zero points and one steal across three minutes in a 119-111 win over the Hawks on Monday.

Kevin Durant (knee) has missed the Warriors' last three games and looks at risk of missing the rest of the regular season, but McAdoo hasn't been called upon to take on extra playing time in his absence. He's played in only two of those three games, logging six total minutes. McAdoo had regularly been seeing minutes in the teens for much of February, but it seems a healthy David West and Zaza Pachulia have pushed him down in the pecking order in the frontcourt.
