Brown tallied 29 points (12-23 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 1-3 FT), six assists, two steals and one rebound during Thursday's 134-129 loss at Rio Grande Valley.
Attempting a season high 23 shots, Brown lead all Santa Cruz scorers Thursday while shooting 52.2 percent from the floor. Other than scoring though, the 25-year-old has been a non-factor in many other major statistical categories, as his 16.7 points, 2.2 assists and 1.8 rebounds per game averages show.

Brown produced 20 points (8-14 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound and one steal across 20 minutes during Sunday's 125-101 loss at South Bay.
In his first game with Santa Cruz this season, Brown had an effective, offensive night, leading all Warrior players with 20 points on 57.1 percent shooting. Before signing a contract with Santa Cruz, the 25-year-old was playing in the Chinese Basketball Association. He also played with Santa Cruz last season, and averaged 22.3 points and 3.8 rebounds across nine games played.

Jabari Brown: Signs with Santa Cruz
Brown signed with the Santa Cruz Warriors on Wednesday, Adam Johnson of 2 Ways 10 Days reports.
Brown had been playing overseas, but with the Chinese Basketball Association season wrapped up, he's returned to the States and is back with the G-League team for which he played nine games in 2016-17. In that span, Brown posted averages of 22.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.

Brown signed a contract Thursday with the Jilin Northeast Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association, international basketball writer David Pick reports.
Brown didn't take long to find work after getting waived by the Bucks on Wednesday, inking a deal to head back to China, where he spent the 2015-16 season. The 23-year-old could resurface in the NBA later in the spring once the CBA season concludes, but it's more likely that he'll pick up work in the D-League.

Brown was always considered a long shot to make the final roster, so it comes as little surprise he was waived on Wednesday. He'll try and latch on with another team during the preseason, although he'll most likely end up in the NBA D-League or overseas by the time the regular season kicks off.

Bucks' Jabari Brown: Inks training camp deal with Bucks
Brown agreed to a training camp contract with the Bucks on Wednesday, Marc J. Spears of ESPN.com reports.
Brown hasn't played in the NBA since the 2014-15 season, when he took part in 19 games with the Lakers and averaged 11.9 points on 41.2 percent shooting over 29.9 minutes per game. After failing to garner much NBA interest last summer, Brown headed overseas in 2015-16, suiting up for the Foshan Long Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association before returning to the States to play for the Lakers' D-League affiliate, the Los Angeles D-Fenders. In eight games with the D-Fenders, Brown averaged 16.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 0.8 assists over 27 minutes per contest. With the Bucks already having 15 guaranteed contracts on the books, Brown faces long odds of making the roster and may have to return to the D-League or head back overseas to begin the upcoming campaign.

Brown was waived by the Lakers on Monday, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports.
Brown is the team's final cut as the roster now sits at 15 players in advance of the start of the regular season. The former Missouri standout appeared in 19 games and made five starts last season, finishing with averages of 11.9 points and 2.1 rebounds in 29.9 minutes. With a bevy of shoot-first guards already on the roster, the Lakers will instead use their final roster spot on veteran Metta World Peace, who returns to the NBA after spending last season overseas.

Lakers' Jabari Brown: Scores 10 points Monday
Brown scored 10 points (2-3 FG, 6-6 FT) and had three assists in 17 minutes against the Trail Blazers on Monday.
Brown continues to prove this preseason that he can be a scoring threat, after averaging 11.9 points per game last season. However, he will likely never see the court as much as he did Monday unless Los Angeles runs into injury trouble. Jordan Clarkson, Kobe Bryant (leg), Lou Williams (groin), D'Angelo Russell, and Nick Young are all slotted ahead of Brown, but health is one thing to keep an eye on to start the year because Bryant and Williams appear to be opening the year banged up.
