  • Tim Frazier: Headed to Greece

Frazier signed Wednesday with Greek club AEK Athens on a one-year deal, Johnny Askounis of Eurohoops.net reports.

Since going undrafted out of Penn State in 2014, Frazier has appeared in 289 career regular-season games over the past eight seasons, which includes stops with the 76ers, Trail Blazers, Pelicans, Wizards, Bucks, Pistons, Grizzlies, Cavaliers and Magic. Twelve of those appearances came in 2021-22 with Cleveland and Orlando, but the 31-year-old journeyman point guard was only viewed as a short-term roster piece while both teams dealt with injury- or COVID-19-related absences. Frazier will now head overseas on a deal that presumably includes more guaranteed money than he could fetch in the NBA, but he still may resurface in North America in 2023-24 once his contract with AEK Athens expires next summer.

  • Cavaliers' Tim Frazier: Deal expires

Frazier's 10-day contract with the Cavaliers expired Monday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.

Cleveland could revisit signing Frazier at a later date, but with Rajon Rondo (toe) gaining clearance to play Tuesday at Indiana and Caris LeVert (foot) not far off a return, the Cavaliers may be less incentivized to keep the 31-year-old journeyman in the fold as point guard depth. Frazier appeared in two games during his 10-day stint with the Cavaliers, playing eight minutes in total and logging two points and one assist.

  • Cavaliers' Tim Frazier: Signing with Cavaliers

Frazier will sign a 10-day contract with the Cavaliers on Friday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Frazier spent time with the Magic on a pair of 10-day contracts in late December and early January, and he averaged 3.7 points and 3.3 assists in 20.0 minutes per game across 10 appearances. He'll provide additional depth in the Cavaliers' backcourt since several of the team's guards are dealing with injuries.

  • Tim Frazier: Time with Magic ends

The Magic didn't re-sign Frazier after his 10-day contract expired Monday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.

Frazier was a consistent member of the Orlando rotation over the course of his two 10-day deals, appearing in 10 consecutive games while averaging 3.7 points, 3.3 assists and 1.9 rebounds in 19.9 minutes per contest. The Magic could probably still use another reserve point guard with Markelle Fultz (knee), Jalen Suggs (thumb) and Michael Carter-Williams (ankle) facing uncertain timelines to return to action, but with Orlando having no recent additions into the COVID-19 health and safety protocols, the NBA won't be granting the team another hardship exemption to keep Frazier in the fold.

  • Magic's Tim Frazier: Back to bench

Frazier will come off the bench Wednesday against the 76ers, Philip Rossman-Reich of OrlandoMagicDaily.com reports.

With Cole Anthony (ankle) returning to the lineup, Frazier will come off the bench. In four games as a reserve, he's averaged 2.5 points, 3.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 17.5 minutes.

  • Magic's Tim Frazier: Logs second-straight start

Frazier supplied 14 points (5-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one steal in 39 minutes during Sunday's 116-111 overtime loss to the Celtics.

Frazier signed another 10-day contract with the Magic Friday, so he will remain with the team while Cole Anthony (ankle) and a host of other players are out with COVID and non-COVID issues. Reports suggest that Anthony's ankle injury may be more serious, and Frazier's status directly correlates with Anthony's short-term prognosis.

  • Magic's Tim Frazier: Signs second 10-day contract

Frazier signed a second 10-day hardship contract with the Magic on Friday, NBA writer Marc Stein reports.

Frazier has appeared in five games with the Magic, and he joined the starting lineup in his most recent outing. He's averaged 4.6 points and 3.4 assists in 20.0 minutes per game to begin his time with the team.

  • Magic's Tim Frazier: Dishes five dimes in spot start

Frazier finished with 13 points (5-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt), one rebound and five assists over 30 minutes during Thursday's 136-118 loss to the Bucks.

Frazier managed to have a tangible impact in the loss, albeit a mediocre one. Knowing what we know about Frazier, he can be a sneaky source of assists when he is handed adequate playing time. In a role such as this, he could be worth a look in deeper formats but fantasy managers will want to keep an eye on the Magic's injury report given there are a few players on the cusp of a return.

Frazier will start Thursday's matchup against the Bucks, Dan Savage of the Magic's official site reports.

Frazier will start in his fifth appearance for the shorthanded Magic. So far, he's averaged 2.5 points, 3.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 17.5 minutes.

  • Magic's Tim Frazier: Inks hardship deal with Magic

Frazier signed a 10-day hardship contract with the Magic on Tuesday, NBA correspondent Marc Stein reports.

The replacement players continue to file into the NBA, and Frazier is the latest addition for a Magic team hit hard by both injuries and the virus. With R.J. Hampton and Terrence Ross in protocols, and Markelle Fultz (knee), Jalen Suggs (thumb), Cole Anthony (ankle), Michael Carter-Williams (ankle) and E'Twaun Moore (knee) all banged up, Frazier could make an impact as soon as Wednesday's game at Atlanta.

  • Grizzlies' Tim Frazier: Signs for rest of season

Frazier is signing a contract with the Grizzlies for the remainder of the season, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Frazier didn't appear in a game for the Grizzlies while on a 10-day contract, but the organization has apparently liked what Frazier has shown in practice. He likely won't see significant minutes unless Ja Morant suffers an injury.

  • Tim Frazier: To sign 10-day deal with Grizzlies

Frazier will sign a 10-day contact with the Grizzlies this week, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

The deal is pending Frazier passing through the league's health and safety protocols, which could take another few days. The guard appeared in three games for the Grizzlies back in January, totaling four points, seven assists, four rebounds and one steal in 33 minutes.

  • Pelicans' Tim Frazier: Signing with Grizzlies

Frazier signed with the Grizzlies on Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Memphis will bring Frazier in under the hardship exception, enabling the team to sign him without having to clear a roster spot. Frazier has spent time with the Wizards, Bucks, Pelicans and Pistons over the last three seasons, most recently appearing in 27 contests for Detroit in 2019-20. Given Ja Morant's (ankle) injury situation, Frazier could work his way into the guard rotation off the bench over the next couple of weeks. However, he's unlikely to be a fantasy consideration.

  • Tim Frazier: Let go by Pistons

Frazier was waived by the Pistons on Thursday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

This move frees up a roster spot for Brandon Knight, who was acquired from the Cavaliers along with John Henson and a pick in a deal that sent Andre Drummond to Cleveland. Prior to being let go, Frazier appeared in 27 games for Detroit and posted averages of 3.6 points, 3.4 assists and 1.2 rebounds in 13.1 minutes.

  • Pistons' Tim Frazier: Healthy scratch versus Cavaliers

Frazier (coach's decision) didn't see the floor during Monday's 115-100 loss to the Cavaliers.

Frazier didn't take the court in this one despite the absence of Derrick Rose (knee). Moreover, Frazier has been held scoreless in four of seven appearances here in January, so he can safely be avoided, barring a rash of backcourt injuries in Detroit.

  • Pistons' Tim Frazier: Cleared to play

Frazier (illness) will be available Friday against the Grizzlies, Keith Langlois of the Pistons' official site reports.

As expected, Frazier will play following a one-game absence. Across his past three appearances, he's averaging 1.0 point, 4.3 assists and 2.3 rebounds in 17.3 minutes.

  • Pistons' Tim Frazier: Expected back Friday

Frazier (illness) is expected to play Friday against Memphis, Keith Langlois of the Pistons' official site reports. He is officially listed as questionable.

Frazier was a scratch ahead of Wednesday's win against Sacramento due to an illness, but the guard is expected to return to action in Friday's matchup per coach Dwane Casey. Over 26 outings with the Pistons this year, Frazier is averaging 3.7 points and 3.6 assists in 13.5 minutes.

  • Pistons' Tim Frazier: Out with illness

Frazier will not play Wednesday against Sacramento due to an illness.

Frazier has been a regular off the bench over the last three games, but Detroit will be without his services Wednesday as it looks to bounce back from a loss to Washington on Monday.

  • Pistons' Tim Frazier: Retreats to bench role

Frazier will come off the bench Tuesday against Cleveland, Rod Beard of The Detroit News reports.

Frazier averaged 6.4 points and 3.7 assists over his last seven contests, but he'll head to the bench Tuesday. Bruce Brown will get a chance at point guard in Frazier's absence.
