Jonathon Simmons: Inks deal in China
Simmons has signed a contract with the Chinese club Liaoning Flying Leopards, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.
Simmons didn't play in the NBA during the 2019-20 season, though he recently attended a Warriors bubble minicamp. Though he'll be playing in China, coach Steve Kerr noted that he believes Simmons still has "NBA years" ahead of him.

Jonathon Simmons: Third straight with at least 18
Simmons totaled 18 points (7-16 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block during Wednesday's loss against Salt Lake City.
This was Simmons' third straight game since joining Santa Cruz reaching the 18-point mark, as the guard also tallied a season high off the glass to cap off a superb outing. The former Houston standout is currently averaging 21.7 points and 5.3 rebounds in the G League this season.

Jonathon Simmons: Dealt to G League Warriors
Simmons signed a G League contract on Tuesday, was claimed by Rio Grande Valley and later traded to the G League Warriors along with the returning player rights of Chris Walker in exchange for the returning player rights for Antonius Cleveland and Jared Cunningham, plus Santa Cruz's 2020 first-round selection.
Simmons was unable to secure an NBA deal for the 2019-20 campaign and has decided to continue his career in the G League, where he last appeared with the Austin Spurs back in 2015-16. The 30-year-old doesn't have much left to prove, but he may be aiming to get back on the radar of NBA scouts late in the season.

Jonathon Simmons: Cut loose by Washington
The Wizards officially waived Simmons on Sunday.
The Wizards merely took on Simmons and the final year remaining on his three-year, $20 million contract in a June 20 trade with the 76ers to net the 42nd overall pick in the draft. The swingman was never considered long for the roster, and was promptly waived when the league's moratorium on free-agent signings ended. If the 29-year-old resurfaces in the NBA this season, he'll likely have to accept a deal with limited guaranteed money attached to it after he posted a career-worst 46.6 true shooting percentage in 2018-19 across 56 games with the Magic and 76ers.

Wizards' Jonathon Simmons: Dealt to Washington
Simmons, along with the No. 42 pick in the 2019 Draft, has been traded to the Wizards by the 76ers, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
The Sixers effectively unloaded Simmons' contract onto the Wizards by attaching a second-round pick. The 29-year-old has $5.7 million left on his deal for next season. During the 2018-19 campaign, he Simmons averaged 6.5 points, 2.3 assists and 2.3 rebounds in 19.0 minutes. He may be able to garner more run in Washington, but it's doubtful he'll become fantasy relevant in the majority of formats.

76ers' Jonathon Simmons: Season-high 20 points in win
Simmons finished with 20 points (8-14 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and a block across 30 minutes in the 76ers' win over the Bulls on Wednesday.
Simmons got some extra playing time in the finale with the 76ers resting all of their starters, and he produced his highest point total of the season. He played 20 minutes for just the third time since coming to Philadelphia on February 7, and he's not on the fantasy radar unless multiple starters don't play.

76ers' Jonathon Simmons: Part of Monday's game plan
Simmons is expected to see playing time Monday night against Orlando, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
With Ben Simmons (illness) out of the mix, Simmons is expected to receive some playing time after falling out of the rotation. He hasn't taken the court in five games, although he'll have a chance to impress Monday with the Sixers playing short-handed.

76ers' Jonathon Simmons: Plays three minutes in Sunday's win
Simmons had three points (1-1 FG, 1-1 FT), two assists, and one rebound in three minutes during Sunday's 143-120 win over the Lakers.
Simmons (abdomen) missed Friday's game against the Nuggets but made his 76ers debut in this one. However, the team boasts solid depth along the wing and Simmons isn't much of an outside shooter, so his fit with Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons is questionable at best. As a result, the newly-acquired Simmons shouldn't be expected to log anywhere near as many minutes as he was averaging for the Magic.

76ers' Jonathon Simmons: Questionable for Sunday
Simmons (abdomen) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Lakers.
Even if Simmons gets the green light to play Sunday, it's hardly guaranteed that he'll be summoned from the bench in his 76ers debut. The swingman had struggled to hold down a rotation role with the Magic of late prior to suffering the abdominal injury and getting shipped to Philadelphia on Thursday.

76ers' Jonathon Simmons: Out Friday
Simmons (abdomen) will not play Friday against the Nuggets, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Simmons will have to wait at least one more game to make his 76ers debut, as the Houston product, who has missed the last three contests, has been dealing with an abdomen strain for the past week now. Once healthy, Simmons will presumably come off the bench at either the shooting-guard or small-forward positions due to an already stacked 76ers' roster.

Magic's Jonathon Simmons: Uncertain for Thursday
Simmons (abdomen) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Timberwolves.
Simmons has been sidelined for the past three games with an abdominal strain, but the Magic will presumably see what he's able to do at morning shootaround before deciding on his fate for Thursday's contest. Even if he gains clearance to dress for the contest, there's still a chance Simmons doesn't end up playing, as he's a candidate to get dealt to another team prior to Thursday's 3 p.m. EST trade deadline.

76ers' Jonathon Simmons: Sent to Philadelphia
Simmons was traded from the Magic to the 76ers on Thursday along with a first-round pick and a second-round pick in exchange for Markelle Fultz (shoulder), Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Simmons is currently working his way back from an abdominal strain, but once healthy, he should provide the 76ers with much needed depth on the wing. The change of scenery figures to do little for his fantasy value, as the 29-year-old was averaging just 6.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 20.6 minutes prior to being traded.
