Omari Johnson: Attempts double-digit three pointers
Johnson scored 28 points (10-19 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 3-3 FT) in Wednesday's 140-129 loss to the Blue Coats. He also recorded eight rebounds, two blocks and one assist.
Johnson has factored into the starting role prominently with Devon Reed spending time with the Pacers, posting multiple 20-plus point outings in the team's last seven games. It's odd to see the 6-9 forward attempt as many three pointers as he has in recent games, but his 7.4 average three-point attempts matches his previous three G League seasons with the Maine Red Claws.

Omari Johnson: Let go by Pacers
Johnson was waived by the Pacers on Thursday.
Johnson saw action in just four games with the Grizzlies last season and was a long shot to make the Pacers roster ahead of the upcoming campaign. Look for him to join the Pacers' G-League affiliate for the start of the season unless he surprisingly fields interest elsewhere in the NBA. There's also a chance he heads overseas as well.

Omari Johnson: Scores 29 in loss
Johnson added 29 points (11-21 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 10 rebounds and one assist during Wednesday's 125-116 loss at South Bay.
Since scoring two points on Jan. 27, Johnson has scored past the 13-point mark in 11 consecutive games and has reached hit 29 points twice. A big reason why the former Oregon State forward has seen his scoring erupt is because he is shooting more effectively from three-point range, going 18-for-34 over his last three games. The 28-year-old is averaging 14.9 points and 6.3 rounds for the Hustle this season.
