Jarrell Brantley: Contract expires
Brantley's 10-day contract with the Jazz expired Tuesday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
Brantley appeared in three games over the course of his 10-day deal, averaging 6.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, 1.3 three-pointers and 1.0 assists in 9.7 minutes per contest. Utah has four players on the injury report heading into Wednesday's game in San Antonio, so the team could be motivated to re-sign Brantley to a second 10-day deal if for no other reason than to have another healthy body available.

Brantley was relatively inefficient during his Wolves debut, needing 15 shots to reach 16 points. However, his solid contributions across the box score made up for his poor shooting. The 25-year-old came off the bench during his first game with his new squad, but he played starter-level minutes, so it's possible he gets a stint in the starting lineup moving forward.

Jarrell Brantley: Finds opportunity overseas
Brantley signed a contract Monday with Russian club UNICS Kazan after the Jazz waived him Thursday, Eurohoops.net reports.

He inked a one-year qualifying offer with the Jazz in August, but the team ultimately elected to part ways with him ahead of training camp to maintain some extra roster flexibility. If Brantley impresses overseas in 2021-22, he could look to return to the NBA next offseason.

Jazz's Jarrell Brantley: Removed from report
Brantley (undisclosed) is no longer listed on the Jazz's injury report and is expected to be available for Friday's game against the Hawks.
The Jazz had previously been listed Brantley with a "not with team" designation on their recent reports, but the second-year forward was active in Utah's most recent contest Tuesday, playing six minutes in a 117-87 win over the Cavaliers. Utah was presumably just keeping the two-way player away while his services weren't needed, but Joe Ingles (Achilles) and Juwan Morgan (COVID-19 health and safety protocols) are now occupying the team's two inactive spots. Brantley will thus be on hand again Friday to provide depth, but don't expect him to see the floor in a competitive game.
