Paul Zipser: Deal with Nets off
Zipser will not sign a contract with the Nets, Emiliano Carchia of Sportnado reports.
Zipser had agreed in principle to sign with Brooklyn following the release of Alan Williams, who was expected to ink a deal in the Chinese Basketball Association. However, amidst complications, Williams decided not to play in China, and the Nets opted to bring him back on a two-way deal. As a result, the roster spot that was open for Zipser to take has been filled. It's unclear if Zipser will continue to pursue an NBA deal this season.

Paul Zipser: Expected to sign with Brooklyn
Zipser has agreed in principle to join the Nets on a two-way contract, Emiliano Carchia of Sportando.com reports. The Nets are expected to finalize the contract by Jan. 15.
Zipser has already left his native Germany for the United States, so it's expected he'll put pen to paper with the Nets in the coming days. A 2016 second-round pick of the Bulls, Zipser appeared in 98 games at the NBA level over the previous two seasons before Chicago released him in July. Zipser hasn't been playing competitively since being cut loose, but he should be a fixture with the G League's Long Island Nets once he's officially under contract. He'll fill the two-way spot that was vacated by Alan Williams, who recently parted ways with the Nets to pursue an opportunity in China.

Paul Zipser: Let go by Bulls
Zipser was released by the Bulls on Saturday, Chuck Swirsky of the Bulls Radio Network reports.
In order to make room for Jabari Parker's contract -- he's owed $20 million this season -- the Bulls chose to waive Zipser. The forward appeared in 54 games last season, seeing 15.2 minutes per game and averaging 4.0 points and 2.4 rebounds while shooting under 40 percent for a second consecutive season.
