Ron Baker: Inks deal in Russia
Baker signed a one-year contract Thursday with CSKA Moscow of the EuroLeague, Sportando reports.
Undrafted out of Wichita State in 2016, Baker ended up starting double-digit games as a rookie for the Knicks, but, due in part to injuries, he quickly fell out of favor and appeared in only 44 games over the last two seasons. Baker finished last year in Washington, where he failed to score a single point in 45 total minutes of action. The 26-year-old will now head overseas, where he'll have a much better chance to play an integral role on a night-to-night basis.

Ron Baker: Undergoes shoulder surgery
Baker underwent surgery to repair a torn right labrum Thursday, and he's expected to make a full recovery in 4-to-6 months, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Baker's shoulder was repaired by Dr. Neal ElAttrache, one of the top sports surgeons out there. Although Baker is currently a free agent, he should return to health sometime during the summer and could end up earning a spot on an NBA roster by the start of the 2019-20 campaign. However, given his struggles with the Knicks and Wizards this season, Baker is unlikely to secure a substantial role in any team's rotation.

Ron Baker: Waived by Washington
Baker has been waived by Washington on Monday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
After being let go by the Knicks on Dec. 13, Baker found a new home with the Wizards on Dec 19. However with the Wizards, Baker was a non-factor offensively as he only averaged 11.3 minutes across four appearances while failing to score. The move doesn't come to much of a surprise as the Wizards would of had to make Bakers' contract guaranteed before the deadline Monday. After clearing waivers, Baker will become a free agent.

Wizards' Ron Baker: Latches on with Washington
Baker agreed to a contract Wednesday with the Wizards, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
After being cut by the Knicks a week ago, Baker will stick on the East Coast and join a Wizards squad in need of guard depth following the recent trades of Austin Rivers and Kelly Oubre to the Suns. In a corresponding move, the Wizards will waive Okaro White. Baker suited up in 11 games for the Knicks this season, averaging 1.3 points and 1.2 assists in 9.7 minutes per contest.

Ron Baker: Let go by New York
Baker was waived by the Knicks on Thursday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Due to the emergence of young talent such as Allonzo Trier and Damyean Dotson, Baker found himself on the outside of the rotation looking in for most of the season. Now, with Trier's two-way deal being converted into a full-time NBA contract, Baker was waived in order to create an open roster spot for the rookie.

Baker exited Monday's game against Milwaukee after taking an inadvertent elbow to the face, Steve Popper of Newsday reports.
Baker suffered the injury after playing just one minute and he wouldn't come back into the game after heading to the locker room. The extent of the cut isn't clear at this moment, but given the nature of the issue, he figures to be available for Wednesday's contest in Miami.

Baker will pick up the start at point guard in Friday's preseason finale against the Nets, Mike Vorkunov of The Athletic reports.
The point guard job is largely considered a two-man race between Frank Ntilikina and Trey Burke, with Emmanuel Mudiay potentially being considered as well. However, it appears coach David Fizdale wants to get a long look at Baker in the preseason finale, so he'll draw the start at point guard. Baker played 17 minutes in Monday's preseason win over the Wizards.
In his first action since missing extended time with a shoulder injury, Baker scored seven points, hitting both of his field goal attempts -- including a three-pointer -- as well as going 2-for-2 at the line. The Wichita State product exercised his player option for the 2018-19 season but likely won't be a major factor in the Knicks' guard rotation.

Baker (shoulder) officially exercised his player option for the 2018-19 season, Ian Begley of ESPN reports.
The decision doesn't come as much of a surprise considering the option will pay Baker more than $4.5 million next season. The former Wichita State standout was limited to just 29 games in 2017-18, and he underwent season-ending surgery on his left shoulder in early February. In those 29 games, the 25-year-old averaged just 2.4 points, 1.6 assists and 1.0 rebound per game while shooting 33.9 percent from the floor.

Knicks' Ron Baker: Set to undergo shoulder surgery
Baker will undergo an arthroscopic procedure on his shoulder later in the week and will miss the next 4-to-6 months, Ian Begley of ESPN reports.
Baker has been battling shoulder issues for the past week, and the Knicks have now decided that surgery is the best course of action for the 24-year-old, who had been a regular off the bench earlier in the season. The procedure will sideline Baker for the rest of the season, but the 4-to-6 month timetable should allow him to be back at close to full strength for the start of the 2018-19 campaign. Baker holds a player option for next season, which he'll likely opt into.

Knicks' Ron Baker: Out indefinitely with shoulder injuries
Baker will be out indefinitely after an MRI revealed a dislocated right shoulder and torn labrum, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports.
Baker suffered the injury during Tuesday's contest against the Nets. The initial X-ray came back negative, but an MRI revealed significant damage. With his extended absence, Frank Ntilikina and Trey Burke could see extra run, though Baker was averaging just 13.3 minutes in 29 games played this season.
